While on my 3 week vacation, I keeped my good eye open on this thread...lotta good posters weaved their way thru this 1. Whizhawk from Wash. The 3 Boise guys I. SmilesID...BoiseMike and Boise4life. Lotta good reads in there by all. One thing I have noticed is that the REAL fans from Boise KNOW what a shitstorm their headed in for @ the end of the month. Just to many variables indicate the Huskies will be ready and frothing at the bit come gametime. But my wallet says the PAC12 here by games end. Not sure what the halftime spreads are, but I would play Boise 1st half ATS and Washington ATS for the game.

This is why we missed wallace so much. Sanity from a seemingly imbalanced soul. Anything is possible which is why there are upsets every week. There is nothing written in stone here. UW should win and most of us expect them to win. They have a distinct advantage. Many of them in fact. Still these are kids in their first game of the year and a few mistakes here and there and anything can happen.

This game has much more than the outcome to witness. The spectacle of the grand reopening of such a majestic and visually stunning place to watch college football. The reunions of tailgating friends and the forging of new traditions for the new stadium. These are the things I have focused on much more than the potential outcome of the game itself. I haven't let the trolling of a select few here take away from what will be a glorious day on the lake.

Well said. The atmosphere, the pageantry, the sights and sounds and smells, the game itself.....all much better things than the outcome itself.

Getting paranoid here again because that is what I do best and this is unrelated to football, but if terrorists wanted to strike Husky Stadium on Saturday, they wouldn't have a hard time. There are so many vulnerable locations at this stadium and let's face it, stadium security is not very good. There is an underground parking lot BENEATH the stadium now. If anyone remembers how the WTC was bombed in 1993.....car bomb beneath the WTC in the parking lot. Just saying. Not to mention, anyone who prepares at all and isn't a complete idiot could smuggle in weapons or a bomb into the stadium. Security is poor at best.

Of course, this probably won't happen and Saturday will go on as planned, but I find it perplexing why terrorists focus on bringing planes down when airport security is SO much better than stadium security. Not to mention, you could kill a lot more people at a college stadium of 70,000 people or so, than an airplane. Yes, I am paranoid and overreacting, but if you were a terrorist and wanted to hurt a lot of people, wouldn't a football game, especially a big one like this, be the perfect place to strike?

All someone has to do is build a powerful enough bomb, put it in their car, drive in that underground parking lot, leave it there, and boom. Unless intelligence agencies stop that ahead of time, how would that be detected? Just saying, folks. Hopefully I am completely wrong, but there are loonies out there, plenty of them, and I would not be surprised if one of them has pinpointed this game. Yes, I'm crazy, but you can't say I'm fully out of my element haha Go Dawgs.

Think I will start calling you captain buzz kill. Man bro, just enjoy the moment and put that garbage out of your head. The thing with acts of terror is if there is nothing you can do to prevent it then there is no reason to dwell on it. That is what they want you to do. They want you to fear them and change up what you do. That's how they win. I'm sure there will be an act of terror at some point on a stadium full of people, but I won't stop going because of it. There will be hundreds of games next week and I won't worry about whether or not akbar is going to go all jihad on the new husky stadium. Besides, I'm pretty sure they'd pick south bend over Seattle. Just saying.

Be careful my friend. About a dozen "key words" in that post. By now the NSA has started the background and credit checks. By tomorrow morning a 2 inch thick file containing a breakdown of every email you've sent and phone call you've made will be on Eric Holders desk.

While I am joking, not far fetched enough to be that funny.

Oh, I wouldn't be surprised at all hahahaha. Hopefully they are actually because that way they would be aware of it at least, although I'm sure they are aware in general of the threat to stadiums. The underground parking lot is an interesting design aspect though.....right underneath one of the giant grandstands. I'm a total paranoid %#%$ when it comes to terrorism, which is absolutely ridiculous....maybe I should just join the CIA after college. That would fit me perfectly. Yo CIA/NSA, if you are reading this, I'll take a job in a few years!

I would actually be kind of disappointed if that post wasn't tracked by the government, I used 'bomb', 'wtc', 'terrorism', 'weapons', 'security', 'vulnerable', 'kill'...you sort that out and it doesn't look good hahahaha.

I always wondered what kind of training suicide bombers got.

"Now listen up, we are only going through this once...crap, told you not to pull that string yet."

I understand that they will try to blow up the team buses. But the one guy burnt his lips on the tailpipe.

The more I think of this game the more I think BSU wins by 500

You are so confident that if UW wins you will voluntarily put on a pro UW avatar for the next week right? I mean if you are really that sure why wouldn't you? :laugh3:

But honestly, if some guy showed up at Husky Stadium, or any stadium, with a suicide vest on, there is a very good chance he could get in wearing it. Security at stadiums is awful. An example I have was at a USA vs Guatemala soccer game a month or so ago here in San Diego. I had a backpack on my back covered with a draped flag and I had a small flag in my hand. They wouldn't allow me to bring in the plastic pole part of the mini flag I had, so they took that, and yet, I walked in with my backpack on my back without them noticing. I didn't do it on purpose, I forgot about that, but what if I had a bomb or weapons in that bag?

Sounds good. I will get to pick yours I assume?

If you paid attention you would know I have an avi bet with a boise fan. But you are running your mouth up so confident that UW will lose by triple digits that you shouldn't need anything else. I'll expect you to wear a UW avi when the game is over or don't show your face back here ever again.
