Is Southwick still QB for BSU?

If so, for BSU's sake, I hope he got a lot better. I think BSU pulls out a close one. The BSU offense wasn't a typical BSU explosive offense with Southwick. They should still win this one.

Anytime Boise is thought to be a big underdog (in this case they only return a few starters) they come out and have a Hell of a year. I got BSU in a close game, this will be one of the better games in week 1.

BSU is favored to win the MWC

They aren't that big of an underdog for the season.

I think the real Xfactor of this game besides opening home game at new stadium is:

The Huskies return almost the entire team. We now have the 6th rated WR corps in nation, ASJ is one of the top TEs in the nation and will prob go 1st round in NFL draft. Bishop Sankey was a 1000yd rusher last year and ran all over Boise in Vegas.
Huskies D is looking absolutely filthy this year and will be one of the best of the PAC.

i'm going with Boise in a close game. Petersen's crew seldom disappoints when given the opportunity on the national stage. As usual, a hostile environment welcomes the Broncos but they have nothing to lose. The onus is on the Huskies to not lose... not this game at this venue.
Personally, my family is chock full of UW grads and I may never get another invitation to family gatherings but I'm going with BSU, 27-24.

This isn't quite true. I have seen it both ways. Boise (last time I checked) is a 2.5 point dog, but ranked in the pre-season. I have seen many predictions from the "experts" clamoring for Boise to have an undefeated year and busting the BCS again.

It honestly is a split. I don't blame Oregon fans for taking Boise, and not because we beat them. But the last decade shows that Chris Petersen wins games. A lot. Statistically, Boise has not only a shot at winning, but in all probability actually will win.

Me predicting or thinking Boise wins has nothing to do because it is Washington and nothing to do with the UW/Oregon rivalry. Some of these Huskies are flattering themselves thinking we Ducks actually care about their losses as much as they care about Oregon losing.

Like you stated, history shows that Boise can ebat ANYONE when preparing for them. What makes Washington better than Georgia? When Boise has time to prepare they are extremely deadly. Nothing has proven to be in recent years to make me think UW can win in big games like this, and recent history tells me BSU CAN win in big games.

But you substitute anyone for Washington, I will still more than likely pick BSU in an opening game.
