Nominations for a board mod

Let me start off by saying welcome again to the ESPN guys...it is great to see the Redskins board so active. It has never been quite like this. Before you guys (and gals?) came there were only a handful of posters on this board.

I will go with the concensus and nominate Skinsdad for a mod. From what I have seen (here and on ESPN) and many others that know him much better have said, he seems fair, reasonable, and the logical choice. If someone else that has been around awhile (46, Raptor, Apache) wanted to mod as well I have no issues with that. If any nominees don't want to do it for whatever reason, don't be afraid to say so.

Should we have a poll of some sort?

Trolling for the sake of disrupting serious debate will not be tolerated. You will get one warning. On the second violation, you will be banished from the Redskins forum.

Yes. A sticky at the top of the page for all potential trolls daring to enter. The beauty is, I believe the head honchos can even restrict these trolls all the way back to the source if need be (for those who like to sign up under different user names).

we have a smack talk thread and i have no issues with anyone talking smack there
i know i will .

i just want our skins threads to be about our team and not have trolls come over to the thread to hijack it

i dont want any politics on the board

i dont mind fans from other teams who come over and debate , guy like BIS to me arent trolling . the other guy dave (the buffalo fan ) to , me wasnt trolling

i tend to give a guy or gal a shot across the bow sort of speak before i get to banning

but guys i am in way over my head when it comes to ip addresses etc . i think a guy with more compu/savy would be a better choice

anyway that is my stance i wont turn down doing it but i think raptor for life and elocomotive are better choices and have the full set of skills needed to be great moderators . Vt sparks would also be a good pick

i feel like those long term posters here should get the shot

i am a newcomer here . those guys have been here a long time . my vote would be for one of them . they have earned it in my opinion

Currently the only mods are the global ones. You can see the mods of any forum on the bottom right under the topics.

I propose a snippet for posters to eliminate the threads during game time..about the game and bitching about the game or certain players and their performance. There are tons of threads as it is, no need to bump informational threads down the list due to multiple threads names "Grossman sucks" or "Rambo got burnt" or "That was a bullshit call" (I'm sure that is next).. We all know Grossman sucks...we all watched the game and know that a certain player was burnt. Not trying to piss or attack anybody..just trying to tidy up the board a little. Hell, maybe we can make a <Sticky> "Venting thread" or something like that.

Thoughts? Anyone agree/disagree?

Agree 100%

Especially the game thread vs. people creating individual threads about plays in the game.
