It would be nice to get a forward in return. But I think Jayson Megna gets a shot and yes Ebbet and they just signed again Chris Conner who has been on the big club on and off. I don't see McIntyre being part of the team at all.

I think there is a 0% chance they trade Orpik, it makes no sense at all.

Chris frigging Conner. Where's Rico Fatta?

At this point, playing Connor on the 4th line looks like a very real possibility. I would much rather try out some of our prospects, but can't have that in the Pens system, we gotta play overpaid mediocre scrubs who have been around the block.

Penguins signed Dustin Jeffrey for $625,000. This puts the team payroll at $64,798,333 which is $498,333 over the cap. We also figure to re-sig Robert Bortuzzo for $525,000, which will put us $1,023,333 over the cap. If I had to make a rough guess on what our lines will be like next season, figure they would go something like this,

L1: Kunitz - Crosby - Dupuis
L2: Neal - Malkin - Bennett
L3: Adams - Sutter - D'Agostini
L4: Jeffrey - Jokinen - Glass

D1: Letang - Scuderi
D2: Martin - Orpik
D3: Despres - Engelland

G1: Fleury
G2: Vokoun

I'm sure Niskanen will be traded to unload cap space and maybe even Orpik (but I would rather keep Orpik for now).

I actually kind of like that lineup. I would flip Adams and Jeffrey though. I believe Jeffrey has more offensive upside than Adams. I also agree that Glass has no place on this team. He's a fourth liner that offers no scoring punch and can't help on the PK, I see no reason to keep him around.

I would do that as well, but we tend to favor vets over young guys.

Funny lets buy out Tanner Glass problem solved and none of the D-men have to walk now and use a d-man for trade bait during the season.

That would be a smart move. Something tells me that Glass will serve out the rest of his contract if Bylsma's recent moves of playing his veterans are any indication.

I have no problem buying out Glass, and it would put us back under the cap, but is it worth it to use up a buyout? Keep in mind he only makes $1,100,000 per year.

Oh yeah but you get two and they go away after next year. Is there really anyone else that is worth it on the Penguins roster except MAF?
