Shaq being a douche here.

So sick of retired players taking cheap shots at current players, be positive people. Shaq, you are better than this.

I do think Shaq usually means to be helpful but this is a cheap shot which is weird considering I do not care what he says I doubt he likes Kobe.

Shaq is not being a douche. He's saying what others have said earlier before Howard made his decision. Even Steven A. Smith mentioned it on ESPN when talking about how anyone could turn down the money as well as the Los Angeles lifestyle. He said he thought despite all the attractions, that Howard may not be able to handle it.

Those who are discounting the pressures of LA are naive or just LA detractors in general. More than one of you dislike LA as much as I dislike Boston. Sorry, Shaq knows what he's talking about, you clearly don't.

Shaq is a moron who dislikes Dwight.

Dwight didn't like Kobe, and Dwight doesn't like him either.

This isn't about Shaq knowing what he's talking about.

1) Shaq took a clear cheap shot at Houston. Shaq has always shown to be a very bitter man his whole life. Remember the Tell Me How My Ass Tastes rap? It does seem that Shaq is still pissed at being swept in the NBA Finals in 95.

2) Shaq calling out anyone for leaving LA is a fucking joke simply because ....

wait for it ...

Shaq left too!

This is not about discounting LA or sticking up for Dwight Howard.

This is about Shaq being typical Shaq.

A bitter, hypocritical, self-serving douchesnozzle.

Shaq's a moron with half a billion in cash, a handful of rings and universally loved. Fuck Dwight Howard.

this is true. teams definitely get covered differently. but houston will get covered a ton more now that dwight is there. miami is the most covered team in the league right now... the lights are a little brighter in south beach than hollywood these days.

That's not really the case. Unless you're talking about the days surrounding their championship, most people are still interested in the Lakers more than any other team. As you can see the this chart comparison of Google Trending teams and the headlines surrounding them over the last few years. I included on the comparison chart, The Lakers, Miami Heat, Celtics, Knicks and Houston Rockets. On the average, even the Celtics have more interest than the Heat:

LA didnt scare Dwight. La fans are getting borderline retarded right now. Dwight didnt stay in LA for two reasons. 1. Kobe runs the team. 2. The coach sucks. Neither of those two things are changing.

It wasnt the pressure in LA. This is stupid. Like somehow it was the pressure of LA that led to them sucking this year. Howard doesnt want to be #2. Howard wants a coach.

3 days ago LA had banners on the staples center and billboards across the city. Today they say they dont want him. Sour grapes.

Gotta love Heat fans rushing to defend Dwights tender sensibilities!!

Such chivalry!!

Neither could Shaq. That's why he ran to Miami.

Maybe!! Although he did stick around long enough to win 3 championships!!

Good thing he won them all in row!! That way he could escape the pressure quicker!!

Stephen A is nobody I would consider credible nor is the ESPN network. Their entire gig is to create hype and drama for the sports that they cover which in turn intrigues people to watch their networks and drives the price of advertising on their networks.

Those who are discounting the pressures of LA are naive or just LA detractors in general. More than one of you dislike LA as much as I dislike Boston. Sorry, Shaq knows what he's talking about, you clearly don't.

Sure, because LA is in fact in a decent spot to go to the finals, but dwight wasn't on that team...bazinga, but we aren't making shit up out of spite and an anger for being turned down...

Shaq's a moron with half a billion in cash, a handful of rings and universally loved. Fuck Dwight Howard.

If it is the first 2 that make him the 3rd then that in no way means he is not, or can not be a douche.

I have said many times how much I love Shaq, but he needs to move on and leave it alone here. He is being an MJ to LBJ.

Saying Shaq ran from LA is pure ignorance of the facts. Shaq was the toast of the town from the minute he got here til he left. Everyone loved Shaq and for good reason. No party in LA was complete unless Shaq was there and you couldn't hardly watch the news without reports of what Shaq had done for families in all sorts of need. If you hate Shaq, you're not a human. There's nothing to hate unless you're just bitter that he dominated your team or you're a Sacramento Queens fans. Or you're name is Greg Ostertag.

Who is? You must not realize that virtually everyone was sick of Dwight leading up to the decision and almost everyone was ambivalent or wanted him gone (me and all my friends). Spite and anger? You're just wrong.

Currently and for the last 3 years this is unarguable. Nobody has been talked about more, scrutinized more, been to more finals and won more finals in the last 3 years than the Heat and the members of their franchise. Before that though it was all Lakers, NYK, Boston in that order.

See, this is what is throwing me for a loop, he hates Kobe but then gets mad at Dwight for not wanting to play on a team with Kobe and the 80 year olds that comprise the rest of the team?

You guys in Texas seem to be a wee bit sensitive about your city. A little inferiority complex going on there, huh? Shaq talks about Howard not being able to handle the pressure of Los Angeles and suddenly people of Houston thinks Shaq is degrading their city, that his town. Houston is nice for what it is. Though I did get a kick out of a newspaper article a friend of mine sent me from the Houston Chronicle after she moved there from Los Angeles a few years ago. Apparently, it was about how Houston was over taking Los Angeles as the second city in the country. It was very cute. Apparently, there is a rivalry going on between Houston and Los Angeles, but only the people in Houston know about it. So, I understand. According to the article, you guys have a museum and a couple world class restaurants with some meatless dishes, or as we call it, vegetarian.

Steve A. Smith is very credible. He actually have relationships with players and have their numbers in his phone.

I doubt one single Lakers fan did anything but chuckle and roll their eyes at that. Totally irrelevant.

I am not talking about Laker fans but Shaq, but I actually think Shaq is trying to give guidance in some manner, it has just always been a douchey, petty manner with Dwight. Like how Barkley spoke about the Heat and their "big 2".

I never understand why we can't be more accepting of others decisions and forgiving of their mistakes. Nobody is perfect and although I do not make millions of dollars I know if everything I said was recorded oh fuck. My future kids would never own a TV, or anything that can play videos of their father being an idiot.

So, did Kobe ever tell him how his ass tastes?
