Such a disappointing player. A team traded up from Kevin Love to pick him.

Haven't played against many nicer kids than this guy. He always completely dominated us, but he was as nice a guy as could be. Respectful, helped people up if they went down.

Hey, leave the bucks alone!!

Just kidding. Being from wisconsin trying to cheer for the bucks is dreadful. They trade away bright young prospects (Tobias Harris) for basically nothing but a chance for the 8th seed. They sign people to ridiculous contracts Drew Gooden is on a 5 year 40 mil contract or something like that... WTF?

They draft like idiots (Yi, Joe Alexander, This greek guy). They actuall have a REALLY talented promising frontline with Ilyasova, Henson and Sanders. If they had kept Tobias Harris (look at his numbers last year... the kid has promise and is only 20) the addition of Mayo would be REALLY GREAT. So they have a half a team right now. a good front line and no guards or 3.

TANK A YEAR. Please. Stop playing for the damn 8th seed every single year. You traded away A GREAT young prospect for freaking 2 months of J.J. Redick. WHY? SO DAMN FRUSTRATING. But guess what they didn't even give Tobias minutes when he played for the bucks so they didn't even know what they had!!!! Not to mention they are about to over pay jennings which is a catastrophic mistake.

Overall, I guess I don't mind the Mayo acquisition. They didn't overpay him too much, and its a short deal, so i can live with it. What kills me about the bucks is all the squandered opportunities by John Hammond and the front office. They have actually had chances to put together a decent roster but keep blowing it.

I think it is a pretty good move for the Bucks. Mayo is above average and the Bucks need him. What's all the hubbub about?

Some franchises just don't get it. Thing is though, GMs are incentivized to do exactly what the Bucks have done. Pressure from uneducated fans to "win now" and impatient owners mean that if they do their job the right way, there will likely be a new GM in town by the time the plan comes to fruition.

Thing is, almost every bucks fan I know is on board with tanking it for a year or two and rebuilding. There isn't the "win now" attitude you get in a lot of more prevalent NBA cities. Wisconsin fans love their sports teams, but almost no one gives a shit about the bucks. It has nothing to do with market size and everything to do with horrible management.

I know how you feel. The first game I ever went to when I was a little kid was Milwaukee @ Atlanta. Kareem vs. Walt Bellamy. It was a great game, Bucks won 104-102. Kareem and Bells put on one heckuva show. I'll never forget it.

The Bucks and Hawks have fallen so far since then.

The Bucks management has been baffling me for years.

Shouldn't have kept Jennings, and shouldn't have signed Mayo.

Right now, Bucks should be all about player development.

Sometimes (actually many times) NBA basketball makes me very sad.

The Bucks may be taking a page out of the Hawks' playbook. Sign one good player who you think will draw the fans. Who cares how many games you win when your "star player" is filling up the arena? I know the Hawks sure don't care about winning.

And exactly which 'Star Player' are we talking about?

The Bucks may actually be a playoffs team still.

thats the problem. stuck in neutral. every year is the 8th seed. or barely missing the playoffs. they need to suck a few years and build a roster, not continually compete for the 8 seed

If their goal was to make deep playoff runs that would be a sound strategy. Honestly it seems they have some business model that making the playoffs ensures enough seats to be sold to make money on their business so doing it as cheaply as possible is the goal.

You want your team to do better? Stop buying tickets and jersey's unless a good team is in there dismantling them...like the Heat :D

The sad thing is, Larry Sanders would be a really fun piece to build around without those guards.
