To go against the current, I'm lower on Lynch than everyone else. His carries dropped as Wilson developed, and what kept him valuable in the last several games is that he had lots of TDs and crazy yards per carry. Add to that, Carroll is paying attention to his workload ("There is so much wear on the tire and we don’t want to wear down now"), and Turbin is serviceable, so I think Lynch is barely top-ten.

Hey Joe! I have a small homework assignment that I have a feeling is right up yer alley. What was the per week point spread frim RB#13 to RB#25 last season? I gotta believe it wasn't too huge of a difference. Would do it myself, but gonna be swamped for the next 12hrs
Ask and ye shall receive.............not standard scoring but this system ususally ends up really close so..............1.9 pts per game............standard might be just a tad higher but that's what I got.

12 team league, 4-5 RB's per team (at most), top 60 should do.
AP at #1 is am easy choice after what he did last season. I have my doubts about Foster holding the #2 spot, I know that his usage is going to catch up to him sometime, and there are some horses right behind him. So, I wouldn't fault anyone for taking Doug Martin or Trent Richardson over Foster in a speculation move that banks on Foster hitting a wall this season. Andy Reid's affect on the Cheifs should be a godsend for anyone who drafts Jamaal Charles, but, the guy will probably miss a game or two, or more. Speaking of missing a game or two, Marshawn Lynch would be my #2, if not for his impending suspension to start the season. CJ Spiller should finally be given the full reign of the Bills backfield, seeing as how Fred Jackson really showed his age last year. Ray Rice falls a bit, but not due to anything about him, just the emergence of Bernard Pierce. Lesean McCoy also falls, both because of Bryce Brown, and the somewhat uncertainty of what his role will be in the new Chip Kelly offense. And finally, Alfred Morris edges Steven Jackson for the final spot in my top five , mainly due to the redskins needing to keep RGIII upright and the Falcons need to put the ball in the air.

Hey treff you kicked up a lot of feedback..post the top 200 and the thread goes through the roof...:omg:

Is a top 200 even possible? In a normal 12 team league that's nearly 17 RBs per team.

I think he means an overall top 200 list including all positions..............well, I hope that's what he means or we might have to include college RB's and maybe a few high schoolers too...............

At this point, I'd put Montario Hardesty from Cleveland ahead of those in bold. T-Rich hasn't been fully healthy since high school, so Hardesty will see the field plenty. I would be surprised if he didn't get a touch in every game this year. Even if Richardson is able to stay healthy, they're going to keep him fresh, which means playing Montario here and there.

Also, of all of your backups listed, I'd put Michael Bush up higher than most, if not all. No question Forte is the man (if he's healthy), but not many backups equal the rushing TD amount of the starter like Bush did in 2012.

i want to put Hardesty higher..but he has his own injury issues, and when he has been on the field, it's been lackluster at best

To be fair, he did have a better YPC last year than T-Rich. Also, it seems like he is fully healthy from what I'm hearing. He was also pretty durable last year.

Here is why I am not buying R. Bush outside of PPR-

Joique Bell and Mikel LeShoure

Bush will be the best back of the 3, for sure, but either Bell or LeShoure is going to get the goal-line work and all 3 of these guys will get touches. I don't think Bush's numbers will be close to what they were in Miami.

If Bush is staring at me in round 5 or 6, I will take him, but somebody is going to draft him before that where there are better values to be had, IMO.

Agree. Had LeShoure last year and while he did get the goal line TD's he sure as hell didn't do shit with yardage. Plus, how many more times will Megatron get stopped at the 1 this year (hopfully not many, lol). I'm avoiding the 3 of them this year unless like you said I get them for some crazy value.

I think Sam already answered this. But it got me thinking. Since we tend to group players a certain way, and base our draft strategy on whether we're in the top half or the bottom half...

I went back to last years fantasy leaders (standard scoring) and broke it down by six.

QB
top 6 avgd 353.2 fantasy points (or 22.1 pt-per-gm)
7-12 avdg 291.6 (18.2)
13-18 avgd 241.6 (15.1)
19-24 avgd 197.8 (12.3)

RB
top 6 avgd 276.5 (17.2)
7-12 avgd 207.8 (12.9)
13-18 avgd 165.6 (10.3)
19-24 avgd 138.5 (8.6)
25-30 avgd 104 (6.5)
31-36 avgd 86.1 (5.3)
37-42 avgd 77.3 (4.8)
43-48 avgd 67.3 (4.2)

WR
top 6 avgd 229 (14.3)
7-12 avgd 192.6 (12.0)
13-18 avgd 169.5 (10.5)
19-24 avgd 151.6 (9.4)
25-30 avgd 127 (7.9)
31-36 avgd 114.2 (7.1)
37-42 avgd 108 (6.7)
43-48 avgd 96.5 (6.0)

TE
top 6 avgd 136.6 (8.5)
7-12 avgd 99.5 (6.2)
13-18 avgd 80.3 (5.0)

I've always believed this, but it's nice to have the numbers to back it up: to all the guys who grab Jimmy Graham in the 3rd round, they're basically saying, 'give me a guy that only gets close to 10 pts a week' instead of grabbing a WR1/2 or RB2 that actually will get them more than 10 pts a week!

So what do you think? (Not about my little soapbox rant, the numbers?)

Luckily I'm only in PPR. The Lions threw over 130 passes to RBs last year, and Bush >>>>>>>>>> Bell and Leshoure as a receiver/playmaker.

Also, Brad Evans of Y! is really high on Reggie Bush which is the ultimate kiss of death.

Fuck?

I'm more than happy to get Bush in the late 4th/early 5th in a PPR platform. Remember back in 2011 when Best was actually healthy? He was doing work in my PPR league. His lowest point total was 9 points through his first 6 weeks before he got hurt. Bush is just as dynamic, if not more. That is what I'm looking at.

Sorry. Keep all of last year's numbers on my draft spreadsheet. All standard leagues except for one. And that league has IDP and scores return yardage. Numbers are a mess. Sorry.
