CHICAGO -- The old Derrick Rose is back.
Chicago Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said Rose's speed and explosiveness are back to where the former MVP feels like himself again.
"I worked him out about a week ago," Thibodeau said in a phone conversation Thursday. "It was great."

Sounds like Thibbs got word from ownership to talk Rose up for a future trade. Why keep paying someone that much money who's mentally fragile, refused to play, watches injured teammates bust their ass in the playoffs, but has no problem cashing paychecks.
If I was Chicago I'd try to move him. How can his teammates look at him as a leader when he refused to play?
Idiot, unless the player has an expiring contract (memo to the Pacers on Granger), you don't trade a guy that just missed an entire season.
While I do think Rose should have tried to play this season, if he returns next season with his pre-injury explosiveness, 2012-13 will be all forgotten and you will all flip-flop your opinions like little kids.
Stay classy, Doors.

Trust me, it will not be forgotten. He'll always be remembered as the guy letting the entire city of Chicago down for refusing to play in the playoffs while his other hurt teammates were on the court.
If I'm on that team, I try to get out of town ASAP. Rose deserves ZERO respect.
at least punchline's posts beat Turnip's lame homerism...
I think that this whole thing has been handled pretty poorly all along!! From the allowing it to get out that he had been cleared, to D-Rose acknowledging that it was "mental" to Thibs saying "Maybe the next game" after every game he missed.
Company line from management, to Docs, to D-Rose, to Thibs, should have been "When he's 100%, he'll play. Until then, no comment"!!

Rose is now seen as a little bitch, he is now the same as his college coach.
Rose playing I wiil/I won't be back was a message to Paxson to sign guys that can take the offensive burden off of him.
But hard when you give $16 million max contract to a just barely above average player like Carlos Boozer the Lozzer.
Like the FUCK MIAMI on top of your avi
If they weren't publicly supportive, they'd be a bigger issue in my mind than rose is.
That doesn't mean in private they aren't pissed, or in the back of their mind any time they are banged up they won't be thinking "Rose wouldn't be playing right now".
I strongly dislike lebron, but I'm not sure what he has to do with this discussion. Whether teammates admit it or not, it's not something you forget. Probably ever.
The public likely will. My opinion on this will not change. He fucked his team, plain and simple.
Look, I agree that Rose and the Bulls could have handled this situation better. But with myself actually living near Chicago and actually knowing what I'm talking about with this situation, next year it will be be forgotten as far as his teammates and fans are concerned. And even this season his teammates were rather supportive of him with the media breathing down their necks.
Doors, I know you're jealous that Rose doesn't get the media scrutiny that your butt-buddy LeBron James gets, but unlike James, Rose is humble. He doesn't live on twitter like a lot of professional athletes. He's got 38 tweets to his account or something like that. It's all about the basketball with him.
Haha.... the bolded is so funny. What's your mile radius limit so we'll know that means you have no idea what the fuck you're talking about when it comes to you posting about other teams??
Of course the home fans will forgive and forget but not the thousands of others who follow the NBA, including the media. People still talk about Pippen when he refused to go in for that last play of the game and that was 20yrs ago. You might have to look that one up though since you're too young to remember when it happened.
Mr. Over 10,000 posts probably knows a thing or two about little bitches.
