I personally don't like the rule about not being able to play right outta high school. If you are dumb as a bag of rocks but good at hoops, why waste the University's scholarship and time on someone that leaves a year later?

:wtf2:

LOL with the way LeBron and Dwight Howard conducted themselves in free agency, I'm licking my chops that high schoolers are gone. Kids under 20 who haven't experienced rigors of college just aren't ready or mature enough for the real world.

As for the rule I want gone, I think the "clear path" rule makes a mockery of the game...

The wait a year BS. HS ballers should come out if they know they're good enough. If they fuck up it's on them.

Durant, Rose, Wall, and Griffin should've came right out of HS. They knew they could impact the game. Look it up, and sure enough, they all did their rookie seasons.

If I had to choose a 2nd, it would be what hurricane suggested... That dumbass clear path rule... SMH...

Rules I'd like to see changed:

1. Ugly players are automatically tee'd up at the start of every game. Chris Bosh. This means you. That is one ugly mother fucker!

2. Coaches who retire more times than Brett Favre are forever more banned to never coach again. Phil Jackson. This means you!

3. Anybody who is easily tricked into calling himself a dumbass on live tv shall forever more be barred from any job that requires him to talk on television. Charles Barkley. This means you!

Reggie Evans qualifys for all three, I think.

I would bring back the pre-Jordan traveling. You know, where you actually had to be dribbling the ball to advance. No more picking up your dribble, then a hop, skip, and a jump to get from the top of the key to a dunk without putting the ball on the floor.

the one that allows flopping. It should be a technical and able to be reviewed in game. Sure the first few games would take longer but once the punishment becomes too severe to make flopping worth it then we will no longer have flopping.

I would also like to abolish 62 games of baseball per team per year.

I would like to see referees enforce the rules against coaches stepping onto the court during game action. There is an actual coaches box where the head coach is supposed to stay. I get tired of seeing coaches flailing around on the court while the game is being played.

Section IV—The Coach and Others
a. The coach’s position may be on or off the bench from the 28' hash mark to the baseline. They are permitted between the 28' hash mark and the midcourt line to relay information to players but must return to the bench side of the 28' hash mark immediately or be called for a non-unsportsmanlike technical foul. A coach is not permitted to cross the midcourt line and violators will be assessed an unsportsmanlike technical foul immediately. All assistants and trainers must remain on the bench. Coaches and trainers are not permitted to go to the scorer’s table, for any reason, except during a dead ball.

Rule No. 12, Section V, C. A technical foul called for (1) delay of game, (2) coaches box violations, (3) defensive 3-seconds, or (4) having a team total of less or more than five players when the ball is alive, or (5) an offensive player hanging on his basket ring or backboard, is not considered an act of unsportsmanlike conduct.

Traveling is beyond ridiculous these days. It only takes like one dribble to get from the three-point line to the basket these days.

I would change the rule so that a player could never foul out of a game.
Starting at the 6th foul and above, give the other team 2 shots and the ball.

Basketball is the only sport where star players can be forced out of games, and often it is becasue of bad call.

Make a new rule that the last two minutes of a game can't take more than 40 minutes in real life. I can't stand watching - foul - free throw - free throw - time out - inbounds attempt - time out - inbounds attempt - bucket - official review - time out - foul - free throw and you get five seconds of actual basketball in ten minutes. Unfreakinwatchable.

Dont hate Hurricane. Its not nice. Look at you. Youre still not mature and your over 20. Its not the age that makes you mature. Its the tools you have to be successful. If you are old enough to die for your country you should be old enough to sign a contract to play in the NBA.

Clear path rule is great. What kind of ass clown should go unpenalized for fouling you when you have a chance to score and no one between you and the basket?

The rule that should be gone is the unspoken one about double techs and fouls.

Without fouling out there would be "enforcers" like hockey, just trying to take out the other team. Your star gets all the calls; why are you complaining about the one time he didn't? Just accept it and move on. It's not like it's game 7 and they fouled him out for stepping on the court.

Most of what you said was completely irrelevant. No where did he mention a player.

The other part I think is off. I do not think they would have enforcers because they still have Flagrant 1 and 2's, Technical's and suspensions (and fines) to counteract "enforcer" tactics".

I also imagine that if an "enforcer" tactic was a management sanctioned tactic the NBA recourse would mirror the Saints bounty gate.

He's been whining about lebron fouling out several times a thread since the game.

I also think that under the current rules flopping is an edge worth pushing to gain an advantage in games. But I want it completely ABOLISHED!!! Even LBJs over exaggeration every time he is hit. (A lot of that is because he is so big and strong nothing would get called on him if he didn't.)

not this thread yet, so maybe you stopped it :D

Flopping is but should not be a part of the game, and not just because of the embarrassment I feel for the players when I watch soccer.
