It wasn't slanted?

Did Indy have it's top 3 players nearly foul out or not? Miami did. It was most certainly slanted.

The Heat did enough stupid things on their own to lose the game. In spite of all of them, they were still in a position to POSSIBLY win.

The refs took that opportunity away though. Wade didn't travel (and Battier hit a 3 when they blew that whistle). The last 2 fouls on James were ones that are hardly ever called, let alone in crunch time on the league MVP.

Anyone think that maybe this has to do with LBJ mentioning that flopping is a viable strategy? Like the 2006 Mavs and Cuban?

Honestly though I just think between Vegas probably having most money booked on the Heat or the NBA not wanting to have a full week with out basketball one of them foot the bill for Crawford which is probably a lot less than you would think.

Is Miami still whining about officiating???

I like the HEAT to still win the series, but you cannot get mauled by +19 on the boards and suggest it was the referees.

Indiana rebounded, rebounded, and then rebounded some more.

Most teams lose regardless of anything else when they get pummeled on the glass.

Sure, there are exceptions. But, it is a tough route.

Miami needs to go into the practice gym and work on boxing out.

They need to stop blaming others instead of themselves.

I think they still win game 5 and game 6, but they will not win a title if they get so easily bent about officiating.

When you get into foul trouble it changes the way you play.

please see my explanation of why the Heat do not rebound.

Some of you don't get it.

I find it HIGHLY suspicious that the league MVP would draw 4 fouls in the 4th quarter, in crunch time.

If you don't find that in and of itself suspect, something is wrong with you. That doesn't happen in any sport, at any level of competition.

Just found out our old friend Crawford called 3 of them. Where in the hell did I put my tinfoil at?

this

Pretty ridiculous. There is nothing kosher about that, if it is Vegas I can let that slide. They have been doing it for years and will continue for years. If it was Stern, that is fucked up but so is he so I would not put it past him.

In the future they should do it more discreetly.

They fouled out the best player on a bogus call with the Heat down 4 with a minute to go after he just drilled a huge 3.

It was 8 on 5 all game long. West give Lebron/UD a 2 hand push everytime they front him and he never gets called for a foul.

Miami is going to smoke this team on thursday by at least 14 points.

Thats not the Heats style. They like to turn you over and get out in the open court. The triangle would not maximize Lebrons talent in the half court set. Dont get me wrong. I love the triangle but Lebron is not an ordinary player.

Neither was MJ and he got 6 rings playing in it!!

MJ did not direct the offense. He was a beneficiary of it. MJ and Kobe are a better comparison in this case. Lebron has a different playing style. If Magic won 5 rings with the triangle then we would have a discussion.

Lebron vs. Jordan is hilarious. First off, Lebron can't handle Paul George. 2nd, MJ wouldn't let Lebron even dribble. Third, Lebron is just not as mentally tough as MJ and even though he is bigger, MJ is quicker.

Lebron couldn't handle Pippen, much less MJ. So Please stop with the comparisons.

Scottie Pippen - 10 time all NBA 1st team defense. Go watch the highlights on youtube and get back to me on that.

Lebron's bitch ass self is getting calls. He's also flopping and the refs are starting to call it both ways.

Either way, the refs need to hold onto their dam whistle and let them play. Way too many whistles. Go back and watch old games in the 80's/90's and barely hear a whistle.

It's getting lame.

True. But Lebron is a versatile enough player that I think he would do well in just about any offense.

I don't think that Miami should go 100% or even 50% to the triangle, but elements of it could have helped them last night (and in the first 2 games) when the game was being played at a slower pace.

Lebron made a concerted effort to establish himself in the paint in game 3 and the result was a Heat blowout. The Pacers adjusted and he didn't get himself established in the paint last night. Some triangle elements may have helped with that.

Actually just reread your post and not sure of how the fouls were called but was saying Shaq fouled out in game 4 with the game on the line in the finals...

I get what you are saying. Yes if they had utilized elements of the triangle with Lebron in the post it would open up some 3 pts for them

Plus, Lebron is an excellent passer. The triangle works best when the post player can pass. It worked for the Lakers because Shaq was an excellent passer and Lebron is a better passer than Shaq was!!

Not 100% sure what those adjustments were that the Pacers made, but it was like Lebron couldn't even get to the paint to post up last night!!
