I'll confess I love watching Oregon games. I hope they just get a wrist slap this time.

I just wish Oregon would sack up and schedule another home and home with Boise State. In two short years a great little rivalry developed complete with late hits, cheap shots, broken car windows and sucker punches.

All three of those were Boise doing to Oreogn...My trucks window got bashed in with a rock when I drove to Boise for that game..I had an Oregon sticker on my back window and woke up the next morning to a smashed window.

Wow. No shit, really? I've heard stories but I didn't know property damage was that pervasive.

Let me ask you this. Are you for another home and home with Boise State? It seems like Oregon might want to get some payback?

Punish them by forcing them to wear plain, classic uniforms for an entire year.

I'd do another home-home with Boise. Get our rightful revenge. Although I don't know if I would go back to Boise to see the game this time...I will say the blue turf becomes an afterthought when you watch a game there live. I truly think actual game day does the field provide that much of a disadvantage to the visiting team.

The Ducks have already self imposed recruiting sanctions on themselves. They only have 19 recruits in this 2013 class when they are allowed 25. So hopefully NCAA will count that as one of the years. Similar to Miami's self imposed bowl ban...

Stupid ASS former Husky Mark Emmert will do what he can to take down Oregon to put the Huskies back on top of the PACIFIC NW

This may be the best way for Oregon to cleanse themselves of the douchery that was Chip Kelly.

Yeah. I'd love to see it. Hell, I'd fly up to see it. There was just something electric in the air. Those teams really, really did not like each other right from the first snap of the ball in Eugene.

Although, I'm not sure Boise State could still keep pace with Oregon's fine tuned machine. Yet, bad blood makes for good theater.

(I'm really looking forward to Boise State possibly spoiling UW's opening day at the new Husky Stadium in August. I'm sure Duck fans wouldn't be too disappointed by that prospect)

First of all, Kelly said the ducks were never at their full 85 during any of his seasons so even a 1 scholarship reduction means nothing. Second many teams may stay at 19 or 20 if they don't lose enough to need 25 to reach their cap. I highly doubt they self limited to some great extent. Do you know how many total scholarship athletes they will have going into fall?

As for the comments about Emmert. Are you serious? lol. Do you really think he is on a witch hunt to reclaim the NW? lol. Wouldn't surprise me.

Oregon was dirty, but they won't get the death penalty. They will lose some scholarships and probably be reduced in recruiting visits for sure. Will they get a bowl ban? If so it would only be for one year. Anything thinking they will get a 2-3 year bowl ban is smoking something that is only legal here in WA. Well and Colorado, but that's another story. A 1 year bowl ban isn't a program killer, but it would leave them a few steps behind where they have been and that would be more than enough to let Stanford take over the north outright.

I have a friend who works for USC compliance. His take on it is probation at least 5 years. 3-5 scholarship reduction for 3 years. recruiting restrictions, less permissible visits and such. At most Oregon might get a 1 year post season ban, but that is uncertain. There is no such thing as a bowl ban. it is worded as post season that is why teams like USC and Ohio State were ineligible for the conference title games.

says it is also possible if the NCAA acts this year, they will count the fact that Oregon did not sign a full class as year 1. if they do not impose anything this year then they will not count the 13 class as one of the losing years
