Earlier on this thread, I was wrong about saying that the MAC has a winning record against BCS conference teams. Actually, the record was 8 -20 as someone pointed out.

However I am correct in this statistic.

Talking about Oklahoma deserving to be in the Orange Bowl instead of NIU.
NIU graduates 71 % of its white athletes and 63% of its Black athletes.

Oklahoma, not so much. It graduates 47% of its athletes. So think about that. More than half of the Oklahoma team will never be able to say they are Oklahoma alumni.
Got to be proud of that "real team" somebody mentioned.

And this has some sort of effect on who should have been in the game in the first place?

what percentage of those graduates end up working as assistant managers at applebees?

easy on the Applebee's management. I did that for a while. I'm no college grad though. Started as a fry cook and worked my up. The pay wasn't bad at that time (1997-2001).

From now on I will imagine you as a cast member from the movie "waiting"

:sorry:

:sorry:

all good. Like I said, I made a decent living and the pussy was phenomenal. It was everywhere while I was a cook, but once I made management it was falling in my lap. I loved my little stint there. I married a waitress before I left. :L Been with her for 15 years.

In the long run yes. In the short up for debate. But to refer to NIU as Community College as someone did is just wrong.

But requiting players that the school knows (and they do know) will never graduate is also wrong. So if Oklahoma does not send at least 25% to 30 % of its players to the pros then it is just using these guys by preteneding that they represent the school.

Well if the overall picture is unimportant to you, then enjoy the Cotton Bowl (non BCS), next years games against Tulsa and the University of Louisiana-Monroe.

Having scheduled Notre Dame does deserve some merit, but how's that working out for you so far?

Have a nice day, say hello to your wife/cousin for me.

so apparently NIU's QB never made those comments

"We plan on wearing them down. In the fourth quarter, we plan to have them on their knees -- and then just keep pounding away. They haven't seen anything like our offense."

post game from the coach:
"Those were taken out of context, OK? And that's not right," Carey said, interrupting a question that had been posed to Lynch. "He didn't say that, and I've been waiting until after the game to say that. That was taken out [of context] and everybody made a big deal out of it. I was there. I was at the interview. He did not make those comments."

That seems like an awful long statement to be taken "out of context".

I'm not sure that William's comments in response were off base regardless. Did you see what that shitty UF offense did to FSU?

What do you want him to say? "We look forward to getting steam rolled, I expect to get beat badly"

True, but I'm not sure it has to be that extreme one way or the other.
