disappointing for Northern Illinois

they fought hard for a while, but they made way too many mistakes in this one

that interception was the killer, even a throw out of bounds would have made this a completely different game

That has nothing to do with it. To assume every non bcs team that posts an 11 or 12 win season will be what bsu was is ridiculous. That's what Thai rule does. They were the exception, not the rule.
