Crazy, just heard the news.... Bielema's career is going to fade away to nothing. Worst lateral move in college football coaching history.

Arky and Bieielieeieieleima deserve each other.

Wow. I hope he enjoys being Bama, LSU, and hell probably even A&M's bitch every year.

No time to get into it, but I don't believe for one second that this wasn't partially done out of spite. Good luck never getting bad press or grif in Arkansas, though Coach B.

He seems to have some morals/integrity...

He has 68-24 record I believe in his time at Wisconsin...

He isn't crazy as a shithouse rat...

Heard he didn't reach for the brass ring salary-wise...leaving some 'cap space' for assistants/coordinators...

Arky could have done worse. If I was an Arky fan, I'd be jazzed.

Arky has fairly smart money recently...BP was a keeper.

He is and always will be a scum bucket...you're better off without him...he'll struggle without Alvarez telling him what to do

Is Bulimia a high school coach? Will he be able to coach grown man football?

Oh, wait a minute! I see. You mean Belichick?! He may know a thing or two about football, but the SEC will put him in his place pretty quickly.

Lol at a fan of an ACC team talking about easy roads, pot meet kettle

Inferiority complex much, Gump? I thought you guise would be thrilled about another SEC thread; you're ruining the team SEC circle jerk by changing topics...

A few things.

1.) Didn't Bielema say in the off-season when Urban Meyer arrived that the, "Big 10 wants nothing to do with the SEC." Or something along those lines, it was a slap at the SEC whatever it was. Believe it had to do with recruiting??

2.) Do Wisconsin fans feel stabbed in the back by this giant douche bag?

3.) How many people did Arkansas have to interview and how many turned them down in order to land Bielema??

4.) This move makes me hate the guy even more. It was a money greedy move and I hope he fails.

This is an interesting hire. Arkansas didn't stay in the SEC family, wonder if that will breath some fresh air into the program.

I think Bielema was tired of living in Barry's shadow. And I definitely think Barry has always been extremely interested in getting back into coaching. I've run into him at various Badger games, and the guy is more engaged than any AD has a right to be.

The truth is that between the praise for Barry and Chryst, Bielema has really lacked respect from Badger fans. I don't support him just running away, but I do think there is something noble about being ambitious enough to want to say "I know i'm a good coach and i'll prove it the hard way."

I have no hard feelings towards Bret. I think he's a solid head coach, but like much of Badger Nation, I don't view him as being as important to our success as Chryst, Barry, and Bostad. I wish him the best of luck in his quest to prove me wrong.

But I also hope that whoever our new coach is, whether it be Barry, Mel Tucker, Paul Chryst, or someone else, shows Bielema that you can win a title in Madison.
