Thats the one half inning I missed.

He looked good, all things considered. He wasn't spectacular or blowing away batters by any means, but he was pounding the zone and mixing up his pitches pretty well. Two weak fly outs, a 3-2 count walk, and a weak ground out. Solid inning.

Well thank goodness that abomination is over with. Just throw that game film in the trash, wipe the slate clean, and focus on taking 2 out of 3. Oh, and I hope that we never have to see Scheppers, Lowe, or Tateyama again this season. Somehow though I doubt we'll be that lucky.

My highlight was seeing Robbie Ross ... 1.0IP ... 0 hits ... 11 strikes in 16 pitches including 5 swinging strikes.

True. It was so nice to see him back and looking like his old self. Down the stretch I hope he can really step in and make a key contribution like he did in the first half. Also, I would take Justin Grimm and even unproven Wilmer Font at this point over Lowe, Scheppers, and Tateyama. We've just had too many pitchers lately like Feldman the other night and the trio of Dempster-Scheppers-Lowe tonight just totally fall apart, douse the game in gasoline, and set it on fire. We're not getting bad performances, we're getting off-the-charts horrible ones which forfeit the game in the early innings. Very disheartening.

All that being said.... this is all that matters. (from the Newberg Report this morning)

I have to repeat this to myself because it still makes almost no sense:

Texas lost no ground, Los Angeles gained none.

Ugh, the one game I don't watch and I miss one of the pitchers I've been following the longest

I remember when he was 17 and pumping them in at 98, but if his control and command have improved then its worth the loss in velocity

Only his first season removed from TJ... He still might get those couple tick points back..

Josh Hamilton having vision checked. Adrian Beltre has intestinal issues. Undergoing tests. #rangers

#Rangers are hopeful that Josh Hamilton and Adrian Beltre will play Thursday. Hopeful, not optimistic.

Evan Grant ‏@Evan_P_Grant
Beltre has "intestinal issues," with discomfort that has lasted since last night. Hamilton's issue is "blurred vision, difficult with focus"

Though I do agree with not seeing Lowe and Yoshi.

Still sporting a .331 batting average against and still not reliable enough for a playoff contender to be pitching in high leverage situations. Last night proved that in a big way.

He still looked good for a kid making his debut in a game already out of hand. He walked one batter, at which point Maddux, Elvis, and Napoli all went to the mound and joked around with him. He laughed with them, seemed at ease, and then promptly retired the next hitter. Compared to Lowe he looked like Cy Young.

I can see the vision thing. Especially if josh wears contacts (no idea if he does). When my sinuses are really bad gunk backs up and starts coming out of my sinus cavities at my eyes and makes my vision really blurry and hard to keep my eyes open.

Yeah but he's pitching against a handicapped lineup.
