Hopefully his streak ends tonight. He lost 6, won 6, and now he's lost 5. I hope it doesn't get to 6 unless he's going to win the rest of his starts this year.
Feldman sucks, the streak continues.
I don't want to see feldman on the mound again, at least not in a Rangers uniform.
totally agree, i never want to see him in a Rangers uniform again. i would revoke his parking permit and change the locks too
I was at the game last night and I swear Feldman in person is more boring to watch live than on TV. Slow as molasses and still gets hammered by one of MLB's worst line ups. Just give the ball to Perez next time and take your chances.
Feldman's only role on this team should be mop up long man to save the bullpen. Frankly, if Oswalt is healthy I'd rather have him fill that role.
Even if Perez got beat this team would at least get something out of it by getting Perez ML experience.
According to the Newberg Report Feldman has been replaced in the rotation by Perez.
I'm not going to dig through the threads and posts, but whomever it was that was saying that the $9M for Feldman next year would be a wise investment...still feel that way?
ford ... Will save you the trouble ... what I said was that TEX would likely to exercise its option to play next year. If it makes you feel good to to say I said it "would be a wise investment". Fine ... but that isn't what I said.
$9M for Feldman is his contracted salary for 2013 like MY's contracted salary next year is $16M. You call MY salary an investment in the last year of his career?
You think you are right today ... we'll see what happens in December.
Not sure why you are bringing Young into this, but his contract is guaranteed. Paying Feldman $9M next year would be the absolute dumbest thing this team could do. There is no way, no how that happens. There will be little to no demand for Feldman on the market. If Texas did want to bring him back, which we won't because he somehow feels he is a starter in this league and we would only have room in in our long relief role, they would do so after he tested the market and was willing to accept much less money.
Feldman would be worth about $3M per year, so no way Texas pays 3x that because you feel that we need to fill that spot. You don't pay $9M for a warm body, and that is all Feldman is.
