Beltre is like a super-hero

I'm willing to bet Profar would be more productive than MY for the rest of the year. Move Ian to LF, Murphy to DH, and MY to a nursing home.
I agree that Olt has looked bad lately because he has been given so few chances so sporadically. When he first came up he was getting on base, working at bats, and driving in runs. Now he looks lost cause he never sees live pitching. Anybody else wanna argue that letting him rot on the bench won't affect his abilities and development?
Move Ian to LF in September? Come on man. The real issue is Olt should be getting a big piece of MY's playing time. You think we're mad now? Wait till wash starts my at first in an NL park in the WS (if we make it there) and leaves Moreland on the bench.
No not going to argue with you on that. it was a mistake to bring him up so early knowing he wasn't going to get playing time. he would have been better served by putting him at AAA getting him the playing time and hitting that he needed and then brought him and Profar up with September call-ups to get some big league experience.
Depending on what the Rangers do during the off-season, i personally think that both he and Profar start at AAA. but if the rumors about Elvis getting traded are true then Profar will find himself the Rangers starting SS next season. i'm just not sure about Olt's status with the Rangers next season with Beltre & Moreland on the team and everyone's most hated player, MY, all expected to be with the team for 2013.
I don't see why either of them are getting playing time. In our current formula it would make a lot more sense to make Murphy full time DH and make Gentry an every day player IMO.
Either as in Young and Moreland? Moreland's been crushing the ball since he came back.
He wasn't finding it overwhelming when he first came up. I can see how he might find it overwhelming after riding pine for two weeks though. I among others have been saying this would happen from the beginning though and now that it's happened the Wash and MY apologists out the blame on Olt for not being ready to face big league hitting after sitting on the bench for two weeks.
Was referring to Olt and MY
i have to agree with you. he has not got the playing time or at-bats he has needed but is that surprising? NO. he wasn't going to get a lot of playing time behind Beltre & Moreland and Wash was never going to put a rookie in the DH spot over what he considers to be proven MLB hitter(s) or MY this season.
I agree. But there was a chess game going on between JD and Wash and JD clearly didn't expect Wash to be as stubborn and defiant as he has turned out to be. If he had he probably would've put him in AAA.
I also agree I'd start both in AAA next and have them both ready in case of an injury.
do you actually believe that JD was challenging Wash when they brought up Olt? i just don't see that a GM & a manager would do that. it is usually a decision that is made by both about who gets called up
if he had that intent and it didn't work, then why didn't they move him down to AAA when it didn't?
