Some interesting tweets:

Howard Eskin ‏@howardeskin 2 be clear on what I reported on Sports Final @NBCPhiladelphia sun night. Flyers JVR delaying having surgery torn labrum. Could holdup trade

Howard Eskin ‏@howardeskin To continue Flyers like Rick Nash and a "possible" trade really can't happen until JVR is 100 percent. JVR delaying surgery on torn Labrum

Thinking about Nash-Giroux-Jagr/Voracek is absolute sex though.

But my slight interest with acquiring Nash starts and end with trading JVR. I know it will cost more, and that is why I am not that excited.

$7.5 m is too much, even subtracting JVR's salary. I think the Flyers are going to have to ride it out for a year with JVR, hoping he can show more value.

Where the heck would they get the cap space? I know there are those dead contracts basically (Pronger, Shelly, etc.), but it would probably include JVR, Bob, 1st rounder from COL, *additionaddition*, and they probably wouldn't resign Jagr.

philly media at it again

fact 1: Flyers like Nash (what a surprise haha)
fact 2: JvR is delaying surgery
fact 3: injured players cant be traded

jumble it all together and you get JvR delaying surgery to hold up a trade!

i really doubt that's the case. lots can be said about JvR's game and committment, but delaying a surgery to avoid being traded is pretty childish.. i'm sure there's some other reason he's delaying the surgery (could even be the doctor's that are delaying)

as for Nash.. like him, dont like his contract, dont like what they would have to trade to get him, and i dont like his fit w/ the flyers (they dont need more offense)

He did pretty well the last time he lined up next to Crosby. ;)

injured players CAN be traded. Im trying to find the example but can't right now. I do remember injured players have been traded in the past.

As long as the teams have full disclosure of the injury and accept that player as they are. I mean Edmonton does it ALL the time lol....

I posted this in the Flyers forum, too:

It should also be noted that the completion of ANY trade is subject to the players involved passing a physical. If the player fails, the team can negate the transaction.

I would guess that in cases where a team traded for an injured player, they agreed not to exercise the above option.

You just can't trade injured players if the other team isn't aware...

How else were you going to trade for Forsberg since the diving douche was never healthy.

One fucker I don't miss in the least. I detest him.

Failed before. No chemistry whatsoever. If they were even remotely compatible, Jeff Carter would have never come to C'bus and Sean Couturier would be a Jacket.

Not reported AT ALL in Columbus, by the way. With that over-zealous twatwaffle Portzline reporting everything he hears including the color of the socks Hitchcock is wearing today, SOMETHING would have come out about it here. Nothing.
