We can speculate but I suspect we won't know until the pads go on.
For sure, and we have to consider he missed last year due to injury and his first year the team had no hope. Marrone will make the call we'll have to see what that call is

No one is talking about Efron Chism III. He separated and caught all seven of the balls he was targeted. He keeps his head and torso concentrated on catching the ball, but his legs are already starting to move when the ball hits his hands.

I've seen his name throughout my news feed since he was signed.

Yeah pretty sure he is not going to get any real coverage with the line up they have now

Undrafted WR continues to shine for Patriots

Undrafted rookie receiver Efton Chism III has been one of the bigger surprise stories at OTAs. He has consistently stood out as a playmaker on offense for the Patriots in the practices open to the media. On Monday, he hauled in seven catches in total during the practice session.

It is evident through the route-running, separation skills and catching abilities that Chism belongs on the roster.

We'll see if Chism can continue to make plays when the pads finally come on and things get more competitive over the summer.

The former Eastern Washington standout has broken multiple records previously held by All-Pro wideout Cooper Kupp in college, including the single-season receptions record for the Eagles with 120 receptions.

There's some talking heads talk that they believe that Boutte and Bourne could be the first to go. Right now, there are 12 WRs all trying to get as many reps as possible with the first team.

Diggs is questionable because of the knee rehab.
Not sure why Polk is listed as questionable. He hasn't been very active in the OTAs last week or this week.
Jiles, Blankumsee and Webb could all be practice squad and potential special teams should the need arise. The remaining nine will have to be pared down to six or seven at the very most.

Supposedly, according to the Athletic, the Chargers are interested in Kendrick Bourne and the Saints in Kayshon Boutte. I would imagine that both would be worth 6th or 7th round picks if they were to be traded this early in the preseason.

"Undrafted rookie Efton Chism III is quickly becoming one of the most surprising storylines of the Patriots' offseason. The run of strong performances continued on Monday for the former Eastern Washington standout, who hauled in a perfect 7-of-7 passes thrown in his direction."

Polk is still re-habbing his shoulder from surgery
Bourne might not be as valuable at his age in career but he is still a viable vet and should get a 5th or 6th
Boutte has a ton of upside and if we trade him, I'd say 5th

No mention of our other 3 rookie TE's. This might get solved very quickly!

Seems to be a half dozen click bait articles in my feed that Kyle Pitts should be coming to Foxborough.

Bell better step up or step out of the way.

I saw them too, decided not to post them, but I would not be at all averse to that.

TOMORROW.........June 9th is MANDATORY Mini-Camp

Not sure if full pads are allowed, not 100% sure about contact.

Have to assume that there is no contact allowed and you know that the league and the union will be attending every team's mandatory camps to ensure that they comply with all of the rules.

Had several people sitting out the voluntary camps.

Interesting show on You-Tube last night. Three Early Cuts For N.E. Patriots.

These guys are seen by Pro football experts as being very likely to be cut or traded, possibly before training camp

1. Kyle Duggar - Has one of the lowest and worst pass coverage rates for a safety in the NFL. He's an excellent run stopper but has been beaten like a red headed stepchild by 4th and 5th WRs. Craig Woodsen, the rookie safety has shown exceptional pass coverage in the voluntary camps and was an outstanding CB/S in college. Patriots also signed Marcus Epps who is an eight-year veteran (MIN 2019, PHI 2020-22, LV 2023-24) and has shown to be excellent against the run and pass. Only played 3 games in 2024 because of injury. Plus Duggar signed an extension and would allow the Patriots about $12M extra cap space.

2. Javon Baker - The second year WR was a huge disappointment in 2024, caught one pass for 12 yards. In 2025 he has been less impressive to the new coaching staff and has not played a single snap with the first team. Has actually dropped more passes than he's he's caught playing with the backups. If he doesn't show something in the mandatory camp, he may find himself trying to find a job in Canada or the USFL. Few NFL team will want to carry a WR that can't catch the ball.

3. Cole Strange - The Patriots decided not to pick up the 2020 first-round pick's fifth-year option. That's generally a signal that the player doesn't have a spot on the roster in his fifth year. Injuries and less than spectacular play has boxed Strange into a corner that he must fighthis way out of in 2025. The Patriots have signed free agents and drafted competition and Strange could be a victim of Vrabel cleaning out the Belichick cupboards.

I can't see Duggar going anywhere.
