Doesn't hurt to wait, unless you're worried he wont be there. Really depends on health to me.
Like you said, Booker may be an all pro someday, but even if, there's likely gonna be an adjustment period. Beebe looks like a keeper, but he had his ups and downs year one
I was overjoyed with his play. Never playing the position and all. I loved the video of his mom taking practice snaps with him.

He's a darn good one. Tyler Smith is a monster and Beebe will be. If Booker is what we think he is, we will have as good an interior OL as there is in the game about a year from now

I read this article and was trying to come up with something.

I guess I would say I trust that they are moving in the right direction this offseason. The record this year may not show it, but I think they finally seem to have a vision and a plan and the fact that starting late last season after he was embarrassed by the two 105.3 guys (even though they folded and bowed to him the next week) for doing nothing and basically throwing away the season, Jerry has been quieter and slipped into the background a little more helps too. No interviews at the combine? Sure he took over the draft interviews after each round, but he knew he wouldn't have any tough questions there. Now if we could just keep him out of contract negotiations we'd really have a chance to turn things around...

In the radio guys defense, if they hadn't bowed down the next week(sadly), it would have probably meant their jobs there eventually.
I think Jerry caught a lot of heat last year and after the Schotty hire. I think he wants Schotty to do well, and to make him look smart in the process. Whatever gets him to step back and open the checkbook works for me. Maybe that blond chick can keep him occupied another 6 months

Always humbling when one of the guys you looked at as a damn fine player checks on to the next plane. Even more so when he’s your damn age.

Star hard, Raff!

While I will absolutely trash McCarthy and his clueless, go get a massage during practice, not having even the slightest clue about time management, way too soft almost camp cupcake like atmosphere and have said for over a year it was dumb to bring him back last year and was absolutely stunned by Cowboy fans who seemingly didn't watch the games and who wanted to bring him back again this year, I am glad to see Stephen say this. What we say on an anonymous chat board doesn't need to be PC. But, yes, we all know we needed a reset just like when Parcells took over. There was zero accountability on this team the last few years. Stephen gets the point across about needing a change from top to bottom without trashing McCarthy on the way out. I kill the Jones Boyz constantly so I try to give them kudos when I agree with them.

Stephen Jones on if the Cowboys needed a culture change: "I think we're always looking for ways to be better. And, you know, we always talk about culture, and everybody wants a winning culture. But, you know, I think changing it up is a good thing. Nothing but respect for Coach McCarthy and coach Garrett and what they brought in the past. But we're always looking for a way to get better. We've got to take this thing to the next level, which is not only we got to get in the playoffs to start with, but once you're there, obviously we hadn't had the success that we want to have. And if bringing a different culture, helps us get there, then I'm 110% for it. And I think that's why people make changes at the top is to is to do something different. And that was a tough call that we had to make last year. And we feel really good about our choice and things. Think coach Schottenheimer is really being received well, and I think he'll continue to do an outstanding job.

I’m sitting on my back patio and it’s about 80° and I’m watching YouTube. Surfing through looking for interesting things and I stumbled on Super Bowl IV. Vikings Chiefs. While Dallas was my first love, the Vikings attracted my attention back then because they had the CFL factor, Joe Kapp and Bud Grant.

Watching this YouTube broadcast though really really made me think about what they used to have on TV. Cigarette commercials left right and centre making them look damn tasty. “You can take Salem out of the country, but you can’t take the country out to Salem“

And the halftime show was incredible, they actually re-created a battle from the Civil War I assume and they had cannons and guys playing dead and bayonets and shit. Yeah, pretty funny.

And then there was Al Hirt and Doc Severinsen, duelling trumpets.
