Quick pulse check to make sure I'm not the crazy one:
Guy puts 1.03 on the block (90% sure it's gonna be Hampton) so I asked what I would need to pair with 1.06 to move up 3 spots.
He asked for 1.16 and a future first
That's way too expensive, right?
I was thinking it would take a future 2nd since the move wasn't significant, but maybe I'm reading the value tiers wrong?
There will still be a nice RB (or two) at 1.6 with the Hunter aspect noted. So I'd agree, it's a bit too steep.

That's the minimum of what I'd ask for. Seems fair to me.
There's the simple '3 spots', but then there's also bigger and bigger question marks after Jeanty/Hampton. Value drops FAST after #2-#3

I have the value cliff closer to pick 7/8 than pick 3, the Ohio St RBs are the real deal imo.

Pretty much the exact price you paid for Jeanty in old school, but you got Jeanty with that package, not Hampton

I dont think anyone believes that the rookies will have the fantasy production in line with their ranking.

Just look at the 2024 class:

there's a second value cliff right there, for sure.

Judkins and Henderson might be the real deal, maybe, but they aren't in good situations, like at all. Sharing the ball in crappy offenses- in Judkins case, for the entirety of his rookie deal most likely- thus- why they're nowhere near the value of Hampton

Its Jeanty

Hampton (can put Hunter in here if applicable for your system)

Judkins/Henderson/Harvey/Hunter

and everyone else

I have that gap wide enough that the WRs, TEs and Kaleb are in the mix with the third tier. Questions everywhere. Wouldn't shock me if Sampson and Judkins have an almost equal workload, for example.

yeah depending on your needs, sure. Tet, Loveland, Warren, Egbuka, maybe Golden and Burden..all lumped into that tier. but if you don't need a TE or a WR and would only take one because the value at RB is gone, that puts them in a tier without the RB's..at least for me

Honestly I forgot about Kelab. I have him neck and neck with Harvey

I have Hampton way above everybody else and just behind Jeanty, but even with me valuing Hampton so high, that's still a lot to pay to move up three spots. Honestly I'd try something with the guy that has the 1.2 and see if you can pay less.

Some ESPN writer is predicting that Kaleb Johnson will be the third-best rookie RB by season's end.

I would imagine there will be 'some' sports writers and analysts that will have Judkins or Harvey or Hampton or Henderson in that spot as well. .... if they all end up having successful seasons, who cares about the exact order, everyone will be right on something. ....

Who do you have at #2?

1 Jeanty
2 ???
3 Harvey
4 Hampton
I have Hampton at #2. I'm not feeling much more than minor nuisance from Naj.. Enough to make an impact, but not the way Warren will impact Kaleb or Stevenson will impact Henderson, or Judkins Sampson will split the work.--in a redraft/one year type situation.

I have Kaleb #4 Henderson #5, Judkins Sampson co #6

it used to be a given that bad offenses would pass more... because of garbage time... i dont think teams follow that rule anymore... some bad offenses, when their team sucks will just continue to run the ball...

i can easily see cleveland to be this type of team that will just run the ball, even in garbage time... i could easily see both Judkins and sampson getting 15+ touches per game... and Ford getting 10+ too....

Team pays RB

Half of fantasy Twitter: looks like they're going to lighten his load now that they've paid him, they want to protect their investment

Other half: wheels up baby!!! They're gonna run him into the ground these next 2 seasons to get their money's worth

I'm starting to lean into the viewpoint of the wheels up side. We're seeing the careers wind down from a generational RB class ('17), and i think the ones still atop a depth chart will continue to get fed until the wheels fall off

Thoughts?
