The farm system is very bare right now.
If we have major league contributors it is not bare. We have pitching and 2 very soon bats to come up
Might do ok with Moore and Dreiling.
Would like more flame throwers and depth appears suspect

Let’s try again

Re oldness of team

Bochy is steady and loyal and not an overreacter
But he also doesn’t exude energy and tends to placate
Not that it will make a whole lot of difference and not to sound like a broken record but Marcus should bat 8 or 9. He is not the 5th best hitter on team

Yes, some of the bareness is due to Langford and Leiter no longer being considered prospects. It is very bare, nonetheless. Rosario's injury and him refusing to have surgery has reality dampened his potential. Teodo is nothing more than a reliever, now.

It is basically Walcott and Rocker and then not much else, as far as how the evaluators see things. We have some decent to good arms, but none are highly regarded. The bats are not much at all. Osuna has some promise, but otherwise things aren't that bright.

Pedersen bats 8th or 9th starting NOW until he raises his average over .200 and that’s really not asking a lot. Don’t EVER bat Pedersen against a lefty.
Batting Pedersen with the bases loaded yesterday was beyond stupid.

Once CY thinks there’s a shot at the playoffs, sign Robertson and trade for Kyle Finnegan at or before the deadline.

The poor performances of Semien, Pedersen and Burger have cost this team a minimum of 5-7 games if not more.

It is tough watching this offense.
But with the starting pitching we have, we can make a run.
Add a couple of bullpen pieces and if we can scratch 3 runs a game we will be dangerous.
I predicted Semiens collapse, but did not see Burger or Pederson struggles.
I really think they will turn it around.
But it is miserable watching non hitting and late blown saves.

Front office is bad, manager is bad, hitters are bad, bullpenis is bad. SP is great.....lots of the players, coaches and FO in this org need to be given their walking papers. They were lucky AF and struck lighting in a bottle for one year to win that WS. Very fortunate to get it that year, as this team seems years away from even speaking of another WS Championship

I'm not all in on Robertson. He's 40 years old and no one has signed him yet for a reason.

I think Robertson could do well as a set up guy amd occasional closer. He is 40 years old and that means he has played a lot of years and didn't necessarily have to play. I think he decised he would play again if someone bowled him over, and they didn’t. He is still probably worth as much as he was paid last year, but not as much as he wanted.

Now, should he decide he wouldn't mind playing the rest of this year for a lesser amount, I would be interested in bringing him back. He did end last year on a very good note. He wasn't showing signs of decline down the stretch.

That being said, the hitting on this club is by far the biggest reason this club is struggling.

I think this team will be at 50-56 in the last few days before the deadline.

I think he’s still in good physical condition. Do you trust anybody in the current bullpen besides Zborz or Robertson if they get him with their experience in the playoffs? I don’t.

I can't even begin to think this team is capable of making the playoffs when they cant score 3 runs per game.

No, I really don't trust anyone in the pen and we aren't even sure how Sborz will pitch when he is ready.

This is the oldest team in baseball. And no team with Garcia, Semien, and Pederson penciled in everyday is making the playoffs. Not sure what to do with the rest of the season other than get Langford and Carter as much PT as possible and Leiter and Rocker as many innings as possible.

Mahle will be traded at the deadline hopefully for a bat or two. Maybe Garcia too if someone is willing to take that chance.

I wonder which course this franchise is going to take over the next 5 to 7 months. There are many divergent paths it could take.

We could struggle through and barely make the playoffs and things would pretty much stay the same. We could struggle through and barely miss the playoffs and only some minor tweaks could be made. We could be about 6 to 8 games below .500 in the last few days of July and be sellers at the deadline.

If we are sellers we could sell off many parts or just a couple. Would any of our struggling hitters be desired because they would come at a bargain price? Would we trade away just Tyler Mahle or would Jon Gray be traded as well? How many of our relief pitchers would be traded.

Also, would any of the coaches, manager or front office personnel be fired?

If we are sellers would we trade for prospects who we think are ready for the big leagues right away, or would we be willing to trade for some AA-ready guys?

If we are sellers I hope we try to move as many of those in the categories I mentioned above as possible. We could use several almost ready hitters for the upper levels aling with some almost ready relievers.

We need to enter 2026 with a new 2B, a new RF and a new DH. We might need a new 1B as well.

The trades could help in those areas. Osuna could help. Crim could help. Two very good free agent late inning relievers would help tremendously. (Yes, this is doable for those looking to give CY an excuse for failing to do this in the past.) We will need a free agent hitter or two as well.

That run is largely on Haggerty, really bad read on that ball, shouldn't have had to dive

Spot on. Those 3 guys hit like their suppose to were probably talking about a 30 31 win team. Problem is that all 3 are no where near their expected output.
Burger has improved some since being g recalled but still not enough.
