The Rookies will be in Foxboro for three days on May 7-10 for all of the indoctrination

Patriots offseason workout dates:

Organized team activities (OTAs): May 19-20, May 22, May 27-28, May 30, June 2-3, June 5
Mandatory minicamp: June 9-11

The NFL's offseason program consists of three phases, the first of which limits teams to just meetings, strength and conditioning, and rehab. The first phase makes up the initial two weeks of the offseason program.

The second phase goes for three weeks and allows on-field workouts, individual and group drills, and players lining up opposite each other. But offensive players can only line up against other offensive players, and defensive players against other defensive players. No live contract is permitted in the second phase.

The third phase consists of OTAs and mandatory minicamp, which will take place over a month. That's when teams can start partaking in 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills, but full pads and live contact are still not permitted. Players won't start hitting each other until training camp arrives in late July.

Boston Herald is reporting that "nearly all" of the New England Patriots have been working out daily either in the weight room or on the practice field. The first OTA starts one week from this coming Monday. By rule, coaches cannot coach or advise players until the OTAs. According to the Herald, coaches have been seen watching WR and OL workouts outside but nonbe have been seen interacting with players.

It also appears that all of the drafted and UDFAs are all working out daily. Media has not been allowed to enter the locker room or the weight room.

According to the Herald, all of the draftees have been given a permanent number and the UDFAs are also wearing numbered jerseys. No one has given any answers when asked if the jersey number has been assigned. Sounds like Vrabel has told everyone to STFU.

OTAs on May 19-24 could be worth the money to go watch.

It means we have to have a subscription to see and read the article.
If you are reading a subscription site, it's best to summarize because I am not going to pay a subscription to see what may or may not be interesting.

It means you cannot read the article without a paid subscription.

I read the first paragraph and started to scroll and BAM! You have reached your free article limit.

I haven't been on the Boston Herald website since Ron Borges was a new hire.

Like I said. I pay $1.00 a year for my Herald electronic subscription. I apologize for putting anything in here that requires anyone to have to buy a subscription. I honestly had no idea that they required it. I won't do that shit anymore.

Not to worry.
I just replied Paywall so that others would see, sharing information is courteous.

Did you know??

Yesterday, the Patriots' rookies started a mini-camp. From the clips I saw, there appears not be some veterans on the sidelines watching and advising. Campbell was taking two defenders and doing the push off to switch to a linebacker. Quote: "His arms certainly don't look short knocking people off their feet." Vrabel was seen wearing a full pad vest and challenging every rookie OL. Star of the day??? WR Kaylen Williams. Incredible in a 15 yard 'Post and Hitch'. He left the DB running and hooked back caught a bullet and then took off. He said after practice that Diggs is giving tips and advice about how defenders will approach him and what he can do to break coverage. They go again today.

Post it - but if you want us to know what it says, summarize or copy/paste.
Miami Herald does the same shit. What I often do is copy/paste the title and find it posted somewhere else.....
Don't need to apologize!

By the way, I refuse to subscribe to get past any paywall. Too tight??????

Nope. You understand the same information is available elsewhere if you are willing to look for it. You aren't lazy, limit your entitlements and demonstrate self control. BK has that subscription because he found value for himself. It's important we all search for what we uniquely value.

Mandatory minicamp: June 9-11
Time to start getting into real football shape. OTAs start tomorrow morning. All are voluntary.....yeah, right. They get Wednesday off and come back Thursday. Then it's five days of self imposed working out and weight room until a week from Tuesday for two more days of intensity. Monday the 26th is Memorial Day. Then it's a single day on June 5th. Most likely to let everyone know that they shouldn't take a vacation because the following Monday is the Mandatory MiniCamp where the real ball breaking will begin.

Since no one knows or doesn't want to be the bad guy...........................

First day of OTAs was Tuesday.

First team offense and defense went 11 on 11

MAYE DAY!!! MAYE DAY!!!!

Drake Maye was 11 Completions for 17 Pass Attempts

4 Interceptions

2 Sacks

Last play he fired a perfect 25 yard back side shoulder bullet to Javon Baker.....................who dropped the pass.

Everyone is saying that Josh McDaniels is not dumbing down his complex offense. Maye is having some problems with it as are some WRs. Vrabel stated to the skill people, "There is no excuse for dropping a pass. You either can catch it or you can't. If you can't catch a football, you will not be on this team or in this league."
