We need another WR IMO. Another quality WR who can start will allow the offense to take that next step.Lady and gentlemen, as training camp and the preseason approach, keep an eye on the Carolina Panthers and what happens with Jalen Coker and Xavier Leggette; one or the other could be a viable trade candidate.
Agreed and Leggett would be nice. Having said that, Allen on a 1 yr deal would not bother me.We need another WR IMO. Another quality WR who can start will allow the offense to take that next step.
What we REALLY need is our run game outside of JD5 to be more effective. Will open everything up for us.Scary terry
Deebo
Noah Brown
Gallup
Luke
Rookie
If Gallup becomes a viable deep threat, or the rookie does, or Luke becomes a valuable middle of the field wr who runs great routes, or Noah Brown can stretch the middle of the field consistently, I’d say we didnt need another wr.
I would think that only one of the four situations would need to happen for our offense to be much much better.

Looking at the current group, every defense will put their best guy on Terry and dare the rest of these, mostly unproven, guys to beat them. Adding a legitimate threat to this group, also opens up the run game. It is also true that a more effective run game makes them all better, but given the nature of the game, I'd rather have two ways to beat them in the likely event that one is stymied in any given contest. ( I don't see Deebo as a full time every down threat, but rather a really good situational guy, as he was in San Francisco)Scary terry

The Saints have been receiving calls about Olave but so far haven't budged.Looking at the current group, every defense will put their best guy on Terry and dare the rest of these, mostly unproven, guys to beat them. discounting a healthy Deebo is interesting to me. With the oline supposedly better and year 2 in KK's offense for JD5, this offense should be fine.
This is true, but I question what more any of them can do to add to this team, including Deebo in a more prominent role than he served on the left coast.Every team did exactly that last year without deebo, and mostly lost that battle.
Last year’s team also had a worse offensive line.
unless you are putting a lot of stock in dyami brown and Ola Zaccheus.
I'm not discounting him at all, I'm factoring his historical role and questioning whether or not limiting that role here is wise.discounting a healthy Deebo is interesting to me. With the oline supposedly better and year 2 in KK's offense for JD5, this offense should be fine.
It sucks to realize this current team could have Olave and Cooper Dejean had we not FAFO with dumb draft decisionsThe Saints have been receiving calls about Olave but so far haven't budged.
Here's a brief summary of the historical role that he's contributed to his team.
He can contribute as a wide receiver, a runner, and even a blocker, making him a valuable asset for the Washington Commanders. His ability to play multiple roles and his willingness to do so on any given down make him an every-down player. Looking at KK's offense last year his WRs generally were employed in a more conventional manner. I want to enhance his versatility, not limit it, by adding more talent.
I get that, I wanted Jameson Williams myself. Cooper looked very good last year, but I thought Sainristil looked good as well.It sucks to realize this current team could have Olave and Cooper Dejean had we not FAFO with dumb draft decisions
Should have drafted him originally...SMHI would love to have that guy on this squad!
