Why are the points scored in the dummy league so much higher?

Aaron judge is having a historic season offensively and he has 30 more points than Robert Suarez, he of 16 innings pitched.

Suarez is having a pretty epic start too. Even in a good scoring system Suarez would be a top 20 player so far this season. If not top 10

Maybe. But when someone is hitting over 400 and leads every single offensive category it's bizarre he's not waaaaaaay in front.

I know we have beat this to death but Lucas Erceg has one save and more points than Tarik Skubal.

In my other fantrax league Skubal has almost double the points.

Skubal is in the midst of a 5 start stretch of 38 ks 1!!! Walk and like a .77 WHIP in that frame.

Less points than a guy who has 14 innings.

RP’s are important but definitely overvalued. Funny thing is I start as many RP’s as possible and my pitching still sucks

Gotta be honest if we don't adjust this I'm probably going to jump out. The enjoyment in fantasy baseball is offense and following SPs. Not cheezing your way to wins with 6 relievers.

Honestly, if you guys don’t want to do this league anymore that’s fine with me. We can end it at the end of the season.

But constantly bringing up how bad the scoring is when we have already all agreed to fix things is just getting old. And then saying you will leave otherwise. I don’t see what the point is!!

Points for holds and saves are going down while points for innings are going up, so we are getting adjustments to increase starting pitcher points and to reduce relief pitcher points.

Because the suggestions aren't really going to tip the balance back where it should be. A mid level starter is still more valuable than most relievers. Someone having a year like Suarez should certainly stand out to a degree but whatever it is with this season the scoring feels even more out of whack. I appreciate the beginning of a dialogue, and I do enjoy the league concept, so I hope it is addressed to put the appropriate value to the positions.

I think part of why it’s feeling odd to some of you this year is just on account of hot starts for some non closers. Adam for me is going wild with Holds. His teammate Suarez being awesome doesn’t hurt him any. Just a thought.

The dummy scoring skews hard to starters imo. Not that I’m on Team Change in the first place…

I don't know how you could argue it skews to starters when Skubal has barely over 100 points despite a 5 game run like he's had. Because he didn't go 6 innings in some starts because the Tigers were housing their opposition and were limiting innings. So a guy pops into a game with a runner on, gets a hold and his game was equally valuable to a 5 inning 2 run 5 k win? That is bonkers.

Slubal got 3 points for such a game because he didn't win. 2 runs in 5 innings is a solid start. Not amazing... but solid. Immensely more valuable to the team than someone holding for 1 inning in the 7th.

The scoring makes mid starters almost unplayable, again using an example as Skubals above being a "bad start" as opposed to the that spot getting used by a reliever with 2 innings 3ks and 2 holds.

I don’t want to argue, but he’s my second best starter and has the second most points of my starters. I think.

Seems fine.

He’s pretty much equal with Tork. Which seems fair. There’s only five relievers with more points. And they’re all killing it so far.

I'm not trying to argue, it is fine if people wish to leave it i will decide if i want to participate or not. Pretty simple stuff. Ive waited 3 years to not have an IR jammed with starting pitching so im going to at least see the end of this out.

You’re kinda just bitching.

We all need to bitch sometimes. I get it.

Well, if our RP are getting dinged minus 13 for a blown save of 3 runs against, maybe they need a little love on the back end.

I agree with Smitty though... the free agent RP do not effect anyone else. We have five slots for them in our lineups if you want to play them.
