Maybe but I think the girl can be exaggerating from the stuff I read but there’s holes on both sides. It ain’t a good look for Sharpe though as he always on Ocho case about being professional and now his show with Ocho losing sponsors left and right

JJ clearly does not think he made any sort of mistake at all. He did not overplay his aging roster, they just need to get into championship shape.

its a case of where it was just a mish mash of a roster....they traded for Doncic because they absolutely had to make that deal- and were left with a roster that did not make much sense in the playoffs. No big men really- none that can rebound at least. Hachimura is a 17-20 minute bench player ideally- not a starter.

the problem is they dont really have much in the way of assets to balance this out.

It would be interesting to see them trade LeBron - get some pretty decent stuff for him- and just build around Doncic- youd still have Reeves as a scorer.

Dont think Reeves is an ideal 3rd guy- i mean he is scoring wise but i dont think overall he is an ideal 3rd guy. They need a lot of size, defense and rebounding in the offseason.

Reeves plays no D.....Doncic is not in good enough shape to play D and even if he was in good shape its not his forte....LeBron is too old to play balls to the wall on both sides of the floor.

They need a 3 and D wing....an athletic center that can rebound and play defense and a 4 that is athletic and can shoot. If they got that and just let LeBron play point and be lazy on D it would be okay.

I agree the roster needs some work, I just think it was funny when he overplayed his starters to the point that Thibs would blush he claims it is an issue with being in shape. I guess both can be true, but he should take ownership for how he mismanaged in that game. He is a rookie coach, mistakes are to be expected. I would feel better if he showed signs that he wanted to correct the mistakes.

Yes, I am ruling them out.
Lol.

We've seen enough upsets much worse than this in NBA history. Both LAC and Denver are good enough to eliminate OKC.

It's slightly concerning, because they could have lost 4-1 without Luka.

And he didn't elevate them above the winning % they were already playing at in the regular season either.

That said, I still personally think he's the best player in the NBA and they'll be much better next year, even without roster changes.

I don't see it concerning moving forward as the issue wasn't Luka, but instead the unbalanced roster that was a result of the players needed to trade for Luka. That can be fixed this summer.

Luka and Lebron can be a bit of role duplication in the short term, but as long as Luka signs his extensions he will keep a superstar in LA to build around for the next decade.

The 19 year old whore is lying, obviously.

This your first rodeo?

Check out the nhl guys now getting gang raped by the illegitimate Canadian government...

Check out the duke Lacrosse guys...

The never happened Virgina tech "rapes" that were featured by a willfully negligent Rolling Stone...

There's more...

JJ was a bit unfair and defensive. We're talking about a 40 year old Lebron with the most mileage on his body in league history and Luka coming off of an illness. Anyone in their right mind can look at that and think "maybe we should find a few minutes for them to catch their wind". Playing small only added to that toll.

The fact that it was the first time in however long that the same 5 played the entire half in a playoff game should tell you it's not advisable. He tried to be the smartest guy in the room and came up a bit short this time. The ego is fine, I just don't see the value in ripping your players for not being supermen when the season is over regardless. That kind of talk may be meant to inspire and challenge, but it could also scare away potential FAs this summer.

They're barely good enough to eliminate each other, tied 3-3.

You've got the Lebron plan backwards. Luka is the PG. Lebron doesn't have to run the offense, saving energy for defense (when given at least a few minutes of rest per quarter - he's usually the first to be subbed out, returning before the end of each quarter).

They have that 4 (Rui) but he is likely trade bait for the center depending on how expensive their target would be. The wing would be a target with potential cap savings from Lebron projected to re-sign for less (like he offered last summer).

Doesn't mean anything, though. We saw what the We Believe Warriors did to the Mavs back in 07. After seeing that, and then seeing what Miami with pretty much just Jimmy did to the Bucks and Celtics, you can't really write these teams off against OKC.

Like I said, there have been bigger upsets than this.

Point is, both are far from likely.

They are going to be underdogs and OKC will probably beat them though
