so I occasionally tune in to Urban View on Sirius to get laughs over the usual political bullshit they spew, but this morning they surprised when I turned it on talking about shedeur sanders, the draft, and the kid with the funny prank call.

#1- they said that SS, hanging in the draft, and not getting picked until the 5th round was equivalent to a "lynching".
#2 - they said the kid that did the prank call on SS was equivalent to throwing rocks at his dead hanging body.

yeah, I changed the station after that. We have crazy people in this country that should be locked up.

DeShaun Watson, Kenny Pickett, Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel, and now Shedeur Sanders.

At least 2 of the have to be punted, right? Gonna be a wild pre-season in Cleveland.

Watson? He's likely starting and even spending the season on IR. But, yeah, they will be a team with 4 QBs and one likely goes or maybe makes practice squad. so like every team.

You just have to watch the highlights to see how god awful his footwork is. If he doesn't make an effort to improve it he's going to be a sack machine in the NFL until he gets sick of getting sacked and then he'll turn into an INT machine. The Browns basically wasted a pick on a guy who's basically a practice squad player at best at this point.

To the people making fun of Cleveland for trading up for him...I totally disagree. The issue with Sanders is do you want his attitude and personality on your team. Do you think his presence is a negative. If you are a team that hasn't removed him from your draft board, meaning you are ok with him on the team and at training camp and standing on the sideline if that is what happens, then this is one of the better value picks of recent times. It's the 5th round! A lot of 5th round players won't make the game day roster or only will as a special teamer or an injury backup year one. All 53 men are important, but the point is that the risk of throwing away the pick vs the reward of potentially finding a starting QB or just playing him in the preseason and then trading him for a better pick is worth it for me - again, IF you don't think he is a negative presence and if you are ok with him on your team.

Exactly.....No team with a clear starter would take him as teams don't want the type of drama he may bring from a backup QB. But a dart throw on a really late pick for kind of important position? What the hell.

so they took him with a late 3rd rounder. Then a guy they likely thought would be gone was still there in 5th and with QB being kind of important figured another dart throw couldnt hurt.

If they took sanders round 3 and Gabriel 5 is that OK?
