Oh, I agree with that.

I would never expect that call to be made in that situation if it were my team.

But it 100% was a foul. If the play had been reviewable that call would have been made.
That ball never gets to the corner for the shot if it wasn't for an equally obvious foul to Josh Hart. So if the foul on the shot is reviewable so would the foul against Hart

Last thing I’m goin to say bout this

A loose ball, a ball that’s in and out of the hands is spinning at a rotation that’s very hard to handle …

We see we what appears to be Hardaway fielding the ball cleanly , but I doubt he had the ball in his possession where he could have got off a normal shot…

Which is why the refs cannot make that call,

Yes , there was contact, yes, a call could have been made. But we don’t really know 100% who created the contact, and we don’t know if it truly was the contact from Hart that threw off the shot.

A lot of things wrong here.

1) The refs should have called a foul. They acknowledged as much after the game.

2) Josh Hart was not in legal guarding position flying at the shooter. It does not matter who created the contact under the rules. If Hart is out of position and there is contact, it is a foul on Hart.

3) Whether or not Hardaway picked up the ball cleanly or was likely to make the shot is completely irrelevant to the discussion or whether or not it was a foul.

4) Of course the contact threw off the shot. We do know this. He shot an airball on a corner 3. Crazy to assume the contact didn’t affect him.

It was bang bang play with seconds on clock, players scramblin for ball , foul after foul being committed , Harris throwin hart aside in full view for defensive rebound , ref made no call..

Refs made fools of themselves opening their mouths about the no call. EMBARRASSING

End of story

It was a bang bang play. As I have said multiple times, understandable why it wasn’t called.

Last 2 minute report definitely going to say that was a foul.

You are 100% wrong saying that it was a correct no call.

Certainly could have been a foul in the loose ball skirmish before, but those types of calls were being let go all game long.

Fouling a shooter is different. Hart made a bad play and got lucky.

If it really was such a low percentage shot as you claim?

Hart shouldn’t have contested nearly as hard and risked the foul.

What????

He fielded an errant ground ball and hurled up a prayer in awkward position, time ticking away…

ya never get a call in that situation!
As a Pistons fan, I can’t argue with this much.

The errant ground ball went off the pitchers leg and everything was fucky with the rest of the play.

It was a less than 20% shot imo.

Tim is an average shooter. But he’s bending down to pick up an almost rolling ball, with a guy closing on him fast. Never mind the double clutch part of the shot. I’ll say 18%, half the chance of a normal catch and shoot with a guy closing on you fast.

I agree.

And I would argue the shot Townes made the possession before was equally low percentage. Which is why he sought out the contact.

Doesn’t change facts that Hart fouled him.

It’s over.

KAT hit his shot.

Detroit lost. They could’ve won. But they didn’t. And it was not refs fault.

You will never see me blame the refs. I have not done that at all. Said multiple times why the officials didn’t make that call.

I am simply pushing back on the deniers trying to say that it wasn’t a foul or that it should not have been called.
