Because they’re not the better team… Unless they run off three straight wins starting the next game, we have a full season of evidence to prove they’re not better than the Knicks.
They were the better team during the regular season by record since inserting Ausar into the lineup and they took the season series 3-1.

I liked the no-call. I don’t like the NBA’s response to it… Opening yourself up to needless criticism. Detroit had their chances, and contact or not Hardaway leaned into the play, a completely unnatural shooting motion…

Can’t decide the game on that.
What a shock, you liked a non-call that goes against the Pistons the game. Color me stunned!

Pretty obvious foul. Damn

Pretty obvious contact on each and every play in game both ends, both teams

You don’t call a foul on song n prayer attempt with game on line in a playoff series

The players decide the game not refs

Pistons had lead after being down most of game, you most hold that lead on your own court.

Like either team is beatin celts

I agree with most of this.

Except…

The reason it was a song and a prayer attempt was because of the contact. Without that, it is a normal contested shot that has a much greater chance of success.

I get why this wasn’t called, but you Have to call contact on jump shooters.

What????

He fielded an errant ground ball and hurled up a prayer in awkward position, time ticking away…

ya never get a call in that situation!

If it's a foul at any other point in the game...it's foul on that play. If a player is shooting a last second shot and another player fouls him, that player still has to hit his free throws. That is still the players deciding the game

The refs not calling a foul on a play like that when a foul was committed would be the refs deciding the game.

He fielded ground ball, had space to release a relatively normal shot, and got hit by Hart/ leaned in to draw contact from Hart which caused a lot of the awkwardness.

Hart was not in legal guarding position.

That is a foul.

That is a foul.

Which should be a moot point given the foul hunting from Mr Brunson

That’s a lot to put on the refs

It was a desperation shot, very difficult for the ref to determine who made the contact in all that crazy goin on .. it was a free for all situation!

Just saw something quite interesting

If the video is real , it shows Harris touching the ball while he was out of bounds

Again, in a wild scramble for the ball in that situation, the refs had to let it play out !

Oh, I agree with that.

I would never expect that call to be made in that situation if it were my team.

But it 100% was a foul. If the play had been reviewable that call would have been made.

Such f n childish BS and ya wonder why the NBA is losin its fan base

A hail Mary shot and there was contact? blah blah blah, how did the contact effect the shot? It didn’t! And refs comin out minutes after the game sayin a call should have been made????? Let’s make the league even more of an embarrassment!

How many times in the history of the game was there a call made in that situation, rarely!

You can’t decide a game like this with a ticky tac call

If it were the Knicks , I would say the same f n thing. Embarrassing to the league

Pistons were in control on their home court and blew it , they have a history of blowin It on their home court .

But let’s make up more puzzy shitt.

It wouldn't have been ticky tack, but it was a last second desperate attempt and they tend not to call them in that situation unless it's very egregious.
