Well you guys got your guy. I think at the end of the day this was the most logical place to arrive in just staying put and taking your highest graded OT in the entire draft. Campbell was not my highest graded Tackle, but he comes with the fewest questions (arm length really being about the only one) and offers probably the most day 1 impact of any tackle in this draft.\
There really wasn't a wrong choice.
Hindsight what it is if I knew that Simmons was going to fall to the end of round 1 I might have taken Jeanty then traded back up ahead of pick 32 and taken Simmons, but there is no way to know as a team that is going to happen.
This is what some of us thought as well. Ersery is still available.

Ah well. I think we got a good LT that will improve the chances of winning.

I watched an interview with Joe Thomas the Cleveland Browns great OT. He talked about how they measure arm length. From somewhere in the shoulder to the tip of the middle finger. Like he said… some guys have long middle fingers which makes their arm length seem great. When do guys block with their middle fingers… he said this stat/measurement is tremendously overrated.

I typically used my middle fingers after the blocks.

Do we really need to know 100% for sure? Valid or not, Joe Thomas' opinion/comments are of interest.

In my sport, I usually acted like I do this all thre time.
When a competitor was trying to pass me on the finshing straightaway, I'd reach over and grab their front brake.
Next time they'd try to pass, they'd do it on the other side, then I would stomp on their shifter lever.
Sometimes I'd just crash into the other rider. Motocrossers these days find this unpalatable - pussies!
I loved when a rider complained about me in a riders meeting. The look on their face when I laughed the whole time was priceless!

Really liked the Henderson pick. This kid is solid. Should really help the Pats especially in 3rd down situations. Still holding steady with my earlier B+ rating. Round 3 with two picks could move the needle up or down. But right now loving what the FO has done in FA and the draft thus far.

Who would've thunk NE selecting a skill player from a big name school would happen? Kind of got tired of the BB picks.

Can't say I love this Williams pick. Fast but is 5'-10" and had a lot of drops. Someone change my mind. My grade just went to B-.

He is going to fit Josh game very well. His quick release will make him a best friend of Drake!
He does separate well. Let's hope he's an Amedolla/Edelman type for NE. I don't know anything about his personality/work ethics?

Thanks for talking me off the ledge. Upgrade my grade to a solid B. Going to do some research on him.

After some reassuring words from @Southieinnc and more research after the 3rd round giving this FO a B+. Hopefully after tomorrow I can say A to A-.

After all the additions to the coaching staff, FAs and the draft thus far, I can't recall being this excited with a NE off season ever.

RD1 Will Campbell: A

You all know this was my guy all along, so anything less than an A makes no sense. And I still think he's the best T in this draft.

RD2 Treyveon Henderson: B+

Last night two Woodford Double Oaked in I graded a B- this morning I considered the addition of Kyle Williams and thought, Wow Josh McDaniel's now has quicky twitchy guys that are fast. Yeah, there were some injury concerns, but all players have them. I had visions of Kevin Faulk this kid has third down back written all over him.

RD3: Kyle William A-

Not the big bodied WR a lot of us were hoping for but the kid has legit wheels, he is fast, and we needed speed, I like this pick a lot.

RD3: Jared Wilson B-

I knew full well we needed to take an IOL somewhere today and this is a solid pick and the Bradberry FA move makes more sense now. Wilson is not NFL ready at this time; he has one year at the C position. He also has huge upside; he's going to need some mentorship and training but in the end, I think he will be the anchor in the middle.

The Pats are doing what they needed to do. I would still like to see a TE but after that I am open to any position. With three picks in the 5th I would love to see them move up in the 4th or secure another 4th round pick. K would be nice late.
