His body type may be similar to Zubac.

But Zubac is a much better player.

No matter who Edey is guarding he is a liability defensively against a small team.

Memphis simply does not match up well with Golden State.

Edey is big and slow, simply put. Zubac the far better athlete (and more developed player of course).

Imagine how bad things would be if some here had their way and the teams that win some postseason lottery tournament got the best players.

Ditch the lottery and just penalize teams for tanking blatantly instead.
No, just fix the league where you don't need a preferentially treated star to compete.

Yeah, the defender's momentum increasing as Jordan's arm extended magically wasn't an offensive foul lol
Nasty crossover and cutback in the biggest moment of history. That's the greatest of all time for you.

If what you were saying was in any way true of the game of basketball then only 3 pointers would be shot. You are completely wrong even though you are proud of yourself for doing the simplest math.

So, @logic was right...too much math for your smooth brain.

Those 2 pt shots will generate far more free throws and those 100 3 pt attempts will generate far more transition baskets for the opponent. It evens out a lot more quickly than your simple example.

Mid-range shots, which were what I cited, are still jump shots and don't generate as many fouls as you seem to think. Drives to the basket generate the most fouls.

Lottery tournament > mid seasons tournament

But award eligiblilty rules apply so you can’t sit a guy March and April and then play in the tourney

You are right about preferential treatment

Although funny coming from a Philly fan since Iverson was one of the biggest beneficiaries and cancers on the game with his carrying and/or traveling on every possession

If you're only making 40% of your 2s, you're a JAG in the league at best. League average is .467 (.360 from 3) this season. For 10 attempts, the difference is 9.34 vs 10.8 and that can be overcome by the higher probability of free throws on 2s. Getting those FTs is the best proposition as the league average is .780 and it saddles your opponent with foul trouble issues.

Teams that overly rely on 3s are much more susceptible to shooting droughts as well.

You are weighing in on a an ongoing conversation without really knowing what it is about.

It is 40% of midrange shots which is slightly below average for the league. Not 40% of all 2s. And midrange shots very rarely draw fouls.

Nobody is claiming that shots at the rim are bad shots. But people are in here all the time lamenting the decreased use of midrange.

When the league has correctly gone away from midrange because of math.

Only the best of the best midrange players should be taking those shots regularly.

Nope.

Because teams would still try to get shots at the rim as those are the best shots in any scenario.

You were the one talking up all the “beautiful midrange shots” from the 90s.

This is specifically about trading midrange for 3s which the league has mostly done. And done correctly.

F n kiddin me

In the minors, had a scum bag coach who picked out my voice amongst the entire team on bus ride back to hotel after losin like 5 in a row while I was ridin pine..

‘ hey pasta we win a game the cork soaker says…

I respond back. ‘ put me in!

Coach = strategy

Players = execute

Coaches in NBA strategize nuttin!

Players game till they take it back!!!

Why did Leonard, who is gifted in so many ways with the ball, can run anyone over with his unique size and strength & speed , shoot a contested 3 with 9 seconds on clock, and with no pressure cause the game was tied?

I’ll tell ya, in f n Sam kinnisons way

The coach was too much of a pussy to draw up a play and have him execute it

Hahhhh hahh hahhhhh I’m Watchin you
so players screw up you blame the coach. Got it. If you have kids are you also the parent who blames the teacher if your kid screws up?

Can anyone on this board help me decipher what the hell Pasta’s screed is about here? Does he really not realize 1) he was not good enough to be in the game and wouldn’t have helped them win and 2) sometimes players fail to execute the coaches plan?
Right? Like the plan is miss a wide open shot, throw an INT, run wrong route, walk bases loaded, etc?

And in his alleged sport? come on....managers are mostly useless at that level.

Just giving you good accurate data. Feel free to refine my numbers if you have the info, instead of lazily "smacking around." What are you, a bitch?
"Good, accurate data" is to only assume he takes 3s and midrange shots?

Ya gotta love this forum.

Yes, that's why I included Curry. The absolute best one.

You are all making my point for me. Go get a layup if they are "so easy." Why wouldn't you? Oh because it's too tough down there. So run around the arc and jack shit up instead.
Idea you tell me or anyone they are not following what you say is next level......as you cannot seem to follow what you say.

Maybe hire someone to keep track of your dumb comments to avoid future dumb comments as though you forgot your previous dumb comments?

I don't know about "useless" at that level, but there isn't nearly as much teaching involved in the professional ranks of any sport as there is managing personalities and seeing things in game that players may not and adjusting to that.

Yup. Exactly. Love Curry's game. And he's the one that could justify three jacking. He's a unique guy in the history of the game.
yet you tried to use Curry to justify taking a bunch of midrange shots.

Seriously, you are having a really tough time keeping up.....with yourself. Maybe regroup and try again?
