Statistically, if they’re that poor of odds attempting to swing and hit to manufacture runs, I would think the odds would be in their favor to not swing at all and just hope to walk in a run or two in future games.

And yes, I’m being mathematically serious trying to come up with a way that they can potentially win a ball game. Because it’s painfully obvious they’re just not gonna win many games trying to get hits.

They could’ve attempted 19 bunts and managed to somehow hope for a throwing air or fielding air or something that would’ve had a better result
