No More "Bullpen Failure"
Hickory's pitchers three a combined no hitter in their home opener, tonight. Kamdyn Perry got the start and went 4 innings, and ubdrafted J'Briell Easley threw the last 4 innings in his first professional outing. William Privette got the middle inning.
I didn't know anything about Easley, but I found this in an article on the Kansas Jayhawks website. It was written just after he signed with the Rangers.
"Easley had a breakout performance in the semifinals of the Big 12 Championship against No. 8 Oklahoma. Pitching at Globe Life Field, the Major League ballpark of his new organization, Easley started the game and recorded a career-high 11 strikeouts in 4.2 innings. The 11 strikeouts matched the most ever in a Big 12 Championship game by a Kansas pitcher."
