Not bad. That’s probably a 2 year deal in the end.
Most of these with age 30+ players usually get a year knocked off the actual deals. If Kupp's healthy, that's a decent deal. If not, it will be an overpay.

Teams are still clueless about drafting quarterbacks
I think last year’s draft class of QBs is going to be great - all of them have shown a lot of potential so far (except for JJ who was injured all of last year), so I think last year will break the streak of weak QB classes. From the year before, Stroud has been good and I think Young has turned the corner and will be decent, but the rest weren’t even that good in college - I still can’t believe Richardson went in the top 5, and Levis was overrated at Kentucky. The year before, yikes, that has to be one of the worst QB classes ever. And the 2021 class hasn’t lived up to expectations at all, but I think Covid screwed all that up - Zach Wilson went at #2 after only having one really strong college season in the abnormal Covid year, Lance only started for one year in college and then didn’t play in the Covid year, Jones only started in the Covid year.
And of the QBs drafted in the later rounds only Purdy has had success.
But I think last year’s class breaks the string of weak QB classes, I think all 6 first rounders from last year will have success.

I don't think much of any of those quarterbacks including Purdy
Ok but you said that people don’t know how to draft QBs. That implies that they just took the wrong ones. Seems like there was no good selection in most cases as it turns out

It's easy to say teams don't know how to draft when Rams themselves couldn't figure out how to form a system around Goff and had to trade for a QB. It worked but they'll be back in the QB hell when Stafford retires.

There's 5 or 6 QB's I'd take.

I think what I’m learning is that there are a ton of situation and system dependent QBs in the league. The 5-6 guys you refer to drive the salaries so you need to build that situation or system around a QB that is going to dominate a high percentage of the cap.
