Stop with the dramatics . We gave up 4 picks and the swap , if you like was a lower pick .

It’s called a draft dean and certainly quality o/lineman would be available

we got a 4th back in 2025. we gave up 2025 3rd and 7th. 2026 2nd. Dont the 4th's cancel out?

Apparently Skinsdad is the only poster I've seen on 4 boards who does like the Tunsil deal. I hate giving up picks as well but this is a great player at a critical position who is under contract for 2 more seasons. And he does not have the injury history of Ronnie Stanley.

A 2026 2nd has the value of a 3rd, the 4th is valued at a 5th today. So you are effectively trading 2 thirds, a 5th and a 7th and in return you get a Pro Bowl left tackle who is under contract and a 4th.

Yeah that's good value.

you are right he is the only poster against the trade. I cant believe it b/c he is a big oline guy

Bad by the Texans taking him away from Stroud.
I like the trade. I don't think we stole Tunsil. They got a nice collection of picks. I think Peters saw the Superbowl like the rest of us and understood he had to do something more than run it back with Coleman on Jayden's blindside.

Texans have about 8m last I checked. They have extensions coming for Stroud, Will Anderson, and Stingley Jr.

Tunsil is on the wrong side of 30. I kinda see it from both sides. Seeing Parsons tweet "WTF" in response to the trade did my heart good.

lol at Parsons. I think we stole him. Very rare you trade for top 5 LT's only giving up a 3rd this year and 2nd next year. You have to protect JD5

It was a good trade for both teams. As Sty always says, you start looking to extend a player a year early. They need to look at extending Stroud, Collins, and a few other young players in the next two years. Why not get a load of picks now, especially in next years draft where there is more talent so they can trade up.

People claim Tunsil is great and top five but top five doesn’t claim greatness. With that top five, comes a top five salary and age. If you think 30 isn’t old, then you have never played a contact sport.

nonsense, you hurt Stroud with this trade, and you have to hope you hit on those draft picks to replace Tunsil.

That being said I am glad we have him , I didn’t like the green law signing because he isn’t know as a run stopper

Lattimore so far is a bust subject to change

The Deebo trade was good and the Harris signing is sneaky good

I mean I get it. We always thought they would build through the draft. There isn't a position group that could not be upgraded and young players on rookie deals is the best way to build a team.

But this is also a unique opportunity. LTs like this don't come on the market often and I would think would command at least a first and more. It's not a steal for the Commanders but it's still a good deal.

I'm kind of surprised they gave up on Coleman at LT so quickly after he missed so much camp. But as I watch the games again it's clear that I overrated Coleman and underrated Wylie's play this season. Maybe Coleman is an improvement at RT and Wylie is the swing guy. Still concerned about both guard positions.

Just got out of the barber shop down here in Houston. They can't stand Tunsil. Called him a cancer. Said he was very good but was a walking penalty. Will never show up for voluntary camp. Did reiterate that he's very good. Just an FYI. It was barbershop talk for context.

Tunsil gets called for a lot of false starts and I remember watching one game this year where he must have had 3 or 4 false starts in one game.

In the 2024 NFL season, Laremy Tunsil’s most penalized game occurred on September 22, 2024, against the Minnesota Vikings, where he committed six penalties, including three false starts and three illegal procedure fouls.

During that game, there was a particularly challenging sequence where Tunsil was flagged for three consecutive false starts, followed by an illegal formation penalty that was declined.

My dad is a huge Vikings fan so this is the game where I saw Tunsil implode

gave up 4 picks but we got one pick back(4th this year) and Tunsil. There was no way Houston would of gave him up for what you said. I'm sure there must have been other suitors.

I thought it was a steal b/d we get him for a 3rd this year and a 2nd next year. The 4th rounder's cancel out. That's not a lot at all for a stud LT.
