Huh. Actually not the worst signing for Jerra and Co.

Cowboys signed RB Javonte Williams to a one-year, $3 million contract.
The deal carries a maximum value of $3.5 million through incentives, making it extremely likely that Williams initially serves as a backup behind Rico Dowdle. The Cowboys were highly likely to address running back in some fashion through free agency considering the only other back on the roster behind Dowdle was the undersized Deuce Vaughn, but the monetary value of Williams’ contract does not inspire much confidence in dynasty managers stuck riding him out this offseason.
The one thing I don't get is three way they talked about Dowdle...
He ain't on the roster yet. He's a UFA, so technically Williams ain't behind anyone.

And if they were gonna keep Dowdle, #1, they'd have probably done it by more, but #2, no reason to sign Williams, not with this incoming class.

Bye bye Dowdle

Thru haven't trained the AI in current roster models yet, so when it writes the blurbs for them, it's only looking at stats

it's obvious Rodgers can't play any more.

I thought we hit that point in '24?? no??

The fact that Rodgers has any interest period is more of a testament to the other QB still on rosters that they are obviously worse than a narcissistic, dark room, bad-actor QB close to qualifying for AARP.

I mean if PIT passes on Rodgers the only options are the Giants, Titans or Browns. Maybe that forces him out of the league...finally

His last ten weeks were pretty good.
Sarcasm?

223.4 yards per game, 1.8 TD's per and 4 INT's (which is roughly equal to what he used to get all year long)

In all honesty he DID own MIA in weeks 14 and 18, and had another good game vs the Jags, but pretty shitty the other seven

I always liked Johnson. Always seemed to me that Taysom Hill prevented him from breaking out.

Saints re-signed TE Juwan Johnson to a three-year contract.

According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, the deal carries $30.75 million base value and a max value of $34.5 million, with $21.75 million guaranteed. The 28-year-old is coming off his best season of his career with 50 catches for 548 yards and three touchdowns. He’ll be a safety valve for Derek Carr — or whomever ends up at quarterback for the Saints — and be a solid, if unspectacular, tight end option for the 2025 campaign.

For real, if it’s him or Cousins or Howell or Wentz, Rodgers starts to look pretty good.
