So did Philly pay Barkley more money for what he did, or for what they expect him to do going forward?

...or did they do it to aggravate every other GM trying to not pay their FA RB?

It was faint praise by throwing that injury comment in there lol.
Try the post not poster angle, too, if capable, junior.

Legit praise...Eagles a very well run organization and Barkley had an amazing season.

Junior, lol?

Poster is not irrelevant.

you prefer sport? Unlike most here it's rare I rip a team just because in any sport. Poster matters.

and, hell, didn't rip Philly at all and said move a good one for both team and player. In addition, also admitted I was wrong about how often Barkley gets hurt because an adult and know it's OK to just own it if wrong.

Landry is a pretty strong pass rusher to hit the open market, he had 9 sacks last season. And Murphy is a good player also, two very strong seasons in Minnesota. Should be a lot of interesting moves being made over the next few days.

Yeah, this one's a bit of a shocker, Landry in particular. He's only going into his age 29 season and has been productive for much of his career. I guess it's to save cap space, but that's still a helluva player to let go while still in his prime.

I would like for my Falcons to sign Landry, he’s a strong edge rusher and would give us an instant boost, I’m surprised the Titans let him go, he was probably their best defensive guy.
I would like for my Falcons to be in the mix to get Murphy as well, we need help at corner, Terrell is our only strong player there. Edge rush and corner are what we need to focus on the most, I hope we can adequately address them.

How do you know so much about his character and his attitude? How long have you worked in the Seahawks organization and what was your level of access to observe this?
I've watched his immature antics on the field which hurt his team on multiple occasions. That is all I need to see.

I can't find where I saw this, but I saw an interesting list recently of how much teams actually paid out to players per year in recent years, which is a different figure from what the cap impacts were.

The Bengals were among the lowest annual spenders in football, Eagles among the highest. I think there is some truth to the fact that, even with a salary cap, some owners are more capable of financing their teams than others, and more willing/able to spend than others.

Guessing you are talking about actual cash paid out, right? I know in many seasons the Browns are very high on that list AND were among the top in cap space. Do remember Eagles being up there as well. SF, too, I think.

Yes, it’s not all about cap space. There’s a cash budget with a lot of teams. Redskins wound up in that situation toward the end of Snyder

and why the fans here who want Haslam out need to be careful what you wish for. whatever one thinks about that guy he will spend whatever he's asked to spend.

Waaaaaay too much for that nut job. Physical talent can be measured in the millions, while his character and attitude can be measured in nickel and dimes.
Probably won't get that but all it takes is 2 or 3 teams to bid against each other. Anything is possible.

Seahawks trading Geno to the Raiders - wow. Seahawks get a 3rd rounder. Probably a good move for both teams overall but I think the Seahawks may suck this year - I guess Sam Howell will be their QB.
