Undersized slot is probably 7th/UDFA but he could still end up being alright in the league
Just for shits and giggles-
ombine numbers of some other undersized slots-

Wes Welker- 5'9", 195lbs. 4.65 40, 7.09 3cone
Edelmen - 5'10", 195lbs. 4.52. 40, 6.62 3cone
Amendola - 5'10", 183 lbs. 4.70 40. 6.91 3cone
E. Royal - 5' 10", 184lbs. 4.46. 40. NA 3Cone
C. Beasley. 5'8", 175 lbs, 4.49. 40. 7.16 3cone

Tez- 5'10", 154lbs. 4.51. 40, 6.65 3cone

Welker -undrafted
Edelman- 7th rd
Royal- 2nd rd
Beasley- undrafted

Beasley was REALLY tiny by nfl standards, this dude is 2 inches taller and 20lbs lighter, that is one pencil frame. he'd better damn well hope he's the shifty-est MF'er to walk the planet

Jets released WR Davante Adams.

Apparently nobody was biting on New York’s trade calls over the weekend. Adams’ release will free up roughly $30 million in cap space while leaving a $8 million dead money hit on the Jets’ books. Most of the speculation to date has been on Adams either joining forces with Aaron Rodgers in a new locale or returning the west coast. Adams becomes clearly the No. 1 wideout on the market even entering his age-33 season, coming off a 85/1063/8 season in 14 games split between the Raiders and Jets. There should be plenty of interest in his services, and because he was released, he will not count against the NFL’s compensatory draft pick formula for the signing team.

LOL

jets once again did jetsian moves... not that they got rid of him... they had to do that...

but dont say We are looking to trade him... teams have shown interest... but if we DONT TRADE him we will release him...

that was absolute idiocy... and even if a team had interest to trade for him why would they, if you are just going to release him...

they once again put themselves in the corner... and took the worst case scenario...

The fluff years at the backend of a contract are rarely paid out, ever. Jets had no leverage, everyone knew he was getting cut and everyone knew no team was paying Adams 35mil for this season

To be fair to the Jets, and keep in mind I have no problem ripping the Jets any given moment, but, it's not like it wasn't common knowledge that they'd release him if they couldn't trade him WITHOUT them actually saying. Yeah dumb to say it out loud, but all the other GM's were well aware anyways

I hear what you're saying, but there's always the chance of a sucker out there.

Milk is right, total Jetsian move.

Even Jerra and Mark aren't dumb enough to not know it.. now they might still be dumb enough to make the trade anyways, but they knew! :)

Jerrra actually made a nice move today signing that defensive guy and structuring his contract so it frees up salary cap money.

Oziggyzuwa ..I don't care how you actually spell it, that's how it sounds when you say it.. :)

Yeah.. like the blurb says, probably an over pay, but he is a very good interior lineman that not only benefits from all the attention Parsons and Lawrence get, but allies them to do what they do by cling down the middle (usually- was a little lacking last year)

There also remains the elephant in the room: Parsons.

Paying Adams this season based on that contract would in fact prove that the Jets didn't know what they were doing

agreed... but not my point... if you are going to release a player... like they should have...

i guess the one thing in the jets favour in this is that they did release him quickly after the trade comment... so yes, they may have messed up by taking away all the chances they had in a trade, whether it would have happened or not, but at least they didnt bring in MORE drama... i guess baby steps are needed for the jets...

well, re-signing him to an extension will actually, probably, create cap room this year, so that'll easily get done. Even the predicted 180 million, if structed right, counts as less than the 24M cap number he has this year. It's the years after, where his contract could be an issue, it'll come down to the structure of the deal.

The thing I can't wrap my head around, is that Dak Prescott basically counts as 90 million against the cap this year. But- zero guaranteed after this coming season, he actually becomes an intriguing cut candidate after this year. It's a massive check or two or three that Jerra would have to write up front, but the cap room savings are friggin enormous- and that check would be less than what Walmart/Denver wrote to cut Russ, less than what the Falcons will have to write if they cut Cousins. Dak best ball out this year.

Y'know what, you're right. Dak is the true elephant in the room.

As for balling out, he better count on his passing skills, 'cause those legs are gone.

Both the deals for Dak and Cousins are amazingly bad.

Huh. I always liked this guy. If the Vikings re-sign Aaron Jones and sign him for a backup, I wouldn't be unhappy.

Saints released RB Jamaal Williams.

Williams ends his Saints career with just 154 carries for 470 yards and two touchdowns in two seasons with the team. He took more than 20 snaps in just four games with New Orleans last year between injuries and the rise of Kendre Miller late in the season. Williams is entering his age-30 season and could make for a reasonable backup for a team that wants a goal-line grinder to spell a back who can stay on the field on third down. The release frees up $1.59 million in cap space for the Saints, meaning they only need to find another $45 million in cuts or restructures to be cap compliant. Easy.
