Jerry caves to players, but coaches are castrated.
Think Parcels & TO. I do not see Little Bill this desperate to learn what Parcels has told him.

The next head coach must give coach concessions if he wants a second Dallas interview. That alone limits the head coach from the start with star players. The players know the deal here AND THIS puts the incoming coach in a hole with the vets day one.

Ben Johnson is THE GUY; but will HE pick Jerry knowing he will have his pick of all NFL openings.

Coach Bro? God help us, but he'll be jerry puppet.

ME?
I get a proven defensive minded hard ass who wants the job. I money whip a play caller for OC.

Last year I was thinking Vrabel in Dallas, but now I'm thinking Brian Flores. Flores can coach NFL defense and I heard Tua said he was a terrible person. Sounds perfect for Dallas to me.

I like the idea of 4 of them.
2 from that list for me: Vrabel and Ben Johnson. I'm not interested in another guy who has been coaching for 30 years and who made his mark when the game was different and the players were very different, These younger coaches just seem to look smarter on the sideline and devise better offenses and defenses and still get buy-in from the players. The game has clearly gone from "feel" to analytics yet you still need to sleep on the couch in the office once in a while as well. If you're a coach with an offense based on something from the 90s, you need to throw it away and start over.

I thought Flores did a good job in Miami.

Ben Johnson is going to be expensive. I am going to cross him off the list. He is disqualified . Lol

They do need a guy like Johnson or even Kingsbury. Get this trash scheme out and start over on offense.

Seriously though, who really wants to join the circus? Especially with how messed up the roster is . It going to take more than one good draft to fix this. My short list so far:Mason Graham,Kelvin Banks,Travis Hunter, Sheduer Sanders,Cam Ward. I'm all in on drafting the future QB. Cam Ward is in my focus. So give me one of these guys in the top 7 .

I hope they lose out. They don't need to tank. They just need to keep feeding Zeke. The blue print is out there. Bracket Lamb with two or three guys and the passing game fizzles.

I would include the Bama QB Milroe who could be amazing, and Ashton Jeanty, the Boise RB. I know that's high for a RB but he is so freaking good. Also the pass rusher from Penn State and WR from Arizona State. This is a LOADED draft at the top, though not at LT, which is unfortunate

I don’t want Saleh anywhere near a team I root for.

No way Johnson goes to Dallas.

Klingsbury maybe for OC.

I honestly don’t think Vrabel has done enough to warrant his reputation. Nice guy who caught a break church of sneaky TDS while he was a linebacker.

Glenn might bite.

BB would take it as a challenge. I’d like to see him take it on.

The good thing is we will be towards the top. It appears to be a top heavy draft. Not as deep as last year.

I will check milroe out. Jeanty is going to be great, but for how long? Jeanty looks like a beast. I don't see him busting. The Penn State pass rusher and that WR also projected high first round. If I had to guess they will be very interested in that pass rusher. There are so many holes though. Any of the players you listed above would help.

Cowboys are going to rebuild whether they like it or not. They ain't winning nothing with Dak. He tore a hamstring off the bone while throwing the ball, and he could be very injury prone going forward.

When you build a roster solely through the draft you are going to struggle if you miss on early round picks. There have been way too many misses lately.

You are 100% right, can't miss. From a team building side, the DT or Edge make a lot of sense, but I think since we paid Dak, we should get him a star RB or a Star WR. Of course, if it were really me and not Jerry, I would never pass on Milroe or Ward, Dak contract or no.

i can't think of a position you couldn't make a case for as your first round pick.

We continue to devalue the safety position.

No way. I don't think Milroe is a good passer.

Neither were Lamar Jackson or Jalen Hurts. Or Hell, Dak for that matter. Mechanics can be developed. Talent like his can't. JMO though

11 teams have 3 or 2 wins. Currently it doesn't seem like we'll have a top 5 pick.
Plenty of time to separate the bad from really bad. And sadly, I tend to see our heroes as the latter. But we’ll play ‘em and see how it shakes out.

I'd like to be the really bad. The GMen on TG should be the indicator.

Totally agree. I could see them going wide out or Jeanty. It is the type of thing they would do. Jeanty could be worth it. I thought the same thing about Zeke and he basically flamed out within three years.

But I agree that QB needs to be highly considered. If Dak is damaged goods we will be having this same discussion this time next year.
