Linkin Park Selects Emily Armstrong From Rock Band Dead Sara as New Singer, Reveals Tour and Album ‘From Zero’

Linkin Park revealed vocalist Emily Armstrong and drummer Colin Brittain will be joining the band as they embark on a new tour in support of new 'From Zero' album.

Linkin Park‘s new co-vocalist will be Emily Armstrong of the band Dead Sara, the band announced Thursday during a live performance event. Colin Brittain, a songwriter and producer for G Flip, Illenium and One OK Rock, will also join the group as a drummer.

The announcement came with a new single, “The Emptiness Machine,” the band’s first new music release in seven years, and the lead track for an upcoming album dubbed “From Zero.” The set will arrive on Nov. 15 (via Warner Records) as their first full-length effort since 2017’s “One More Light,” also the last Linkin Park album before the death of lead vocalist Chester Bennington.

Amazing vocalist, the bigger surprise was they chose someone they decide to cancel over her views on a certain case.

At least it got me to listen to their new songs. This rap rock bullshit never flew with me, the co vocalist crap is disrespectful.

Still trying to find out what Siouxie is doing, if she wanted out or decided to start a family or something. That girl can write some killer riffs. Especially since after the first performance I heard their guitarist was not going to tour with them.

I wasn't a fan of Linkin Park until recently after the band appeared on Jimmy Fallon recently and did a track, Emptiness Machine, from their new 8th album, From Zero, featuring Dead Sara vocalist Emily Armstrong and drummer/producer Colin Brittain as new band members. I found this link promoting the new album, due November 15, with the track Emptiness Machine and a dozen older tracks. With Armstrong basically replacing dead vocalist Chester Bennington, the tracks are fantastic.

I need to give this a listen. For some bands I dont like different lead singers but each Linkin Park album has a slightly different vibe imo. Maybe you could argue that Hybrid Theory and Meteora are similar but the rest kinda goes its own way.

The 90s was a long time ago. Hard to really call Linkin Park any part of a newer wave. I saw Everclear recently and the lead singer was talking about having MS and his wife cancer and then goes straight into I Will Buy You a New Life. These are the new classics.

After a quick listen through the album, Overflow is the only song I like.

As a whole, I think Emily Armstrong is good but I feel its obvious that at least on albums that Chester was better. I also don't think the dual gender thing works as well a single angsty thought but maybe Im just not open minded enough for this.

I will fully admit I'm way too old to be the target audience here although I did like Haley's album that was produced by Nine Inch Nails.

I think Hunting Party and Thousand Suns are solid albums so I'd disagree there but Hyrbid Theory and Meteora are coming of age albums so maybe I'm just old now

I definitely prefer her with Dead Sara. Haven't seen any news whether they are going to continue or not?

Art Alexakis, singer/guitarist. Everclear put out a live album last year from a 2022 show, sounded pretty good to me. Their last studio album was 2015 (and Art put out a solo album in 2019) and it looks like they're still touring.
