At 2.11 it came down to Pearsall or Vidal. I just could not pass up a RB that will be the starter by the end of the year.

well to be clear, the issue is Vidal v Gus Bus, not Vidal v Spiller. Would Vidal beat Spiller? Probably, maybe, but it's not a circumstance worth a bet cuz it'll be irrelevant regardless most likely. And I'd likely take Vidal between the two, but not taking either of them over Gus or Dobbins- baring injury

yeah, I'm in the same boat, but I don't think the Chargers are going to be very good this year, so I do think at some point they'll see what they got in the kid since Spiller and Kelley are great talents to be the practice squad RBs for them

Spiller was most certainly a let down, in all aspects. Widely considered by many 'draftniks' as at worst the 4th or 5th best back in his class (only Breece Hall and Kenneth Walker were unanimously ahead of him) and he's done nothing. bah humbug.

%100 agreed that the Chargers won't be much this year, however, they do have a mega millions QB they need to think about protecting, and questionable pass pro is one of the knocks on VIdal, so unless they also bench Herbert, I'm not so sure they do a ton of that no matter what their record is.

HIghly doubt Harbuagh wants to step up to the podium and explain that the reason Herbert shattered his femur is because they wanted to see if their 6th round pick was worth a roster spot or not

Vldal doesn't show much on tape so he's just some extra depth for injury purpose. If he ends up in the Chargers starting lineup I still won't want starting for my FF team as I don't see him doing much.
