Is TK playing tonight?
The Flyers also have to push forward Tuesday without their leading scorer Travis Konecny. The 2024 All-Star will miss a third straight game with an upper-body injury and is considered day to day. Bobby Brink was called up Tuesday and worked on a line with Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee in morning skate.

I need to see me some more Bobby Brink! Kids Hussle is purely infectious. Errson is looking solid lately. Hopefully his confidence keeps growing. Now hoping for a penqueers loss in Vancouver.

For any of us who are or were down on this group at all, watch the 3rd period from this game!! We came out and absolutely dominated a good team that has some of the top players in the world, including Nhl point leader Kucherov.

This was a tight-checking, 1-1 game entering the 3rd and then we got absolute snipes from Foerster, Sanheim and Walker to take a commanding 4-1 lead just 7 minutes into the period. Tampa got one back via pulling the goalie super early and an easy goal by Stamkos, but we eventually put two home in the empty net to erase that and win 6-2. Quite frankly, we made Conn Smythe and Vezina winner Vasilevskiy look average, perhaps even shaky.

Huge props to the line of Cates, Poehling and Hathaway. This line can do it all and is really setting the tone for the entire team. The stats don't really show this to the fullest extent either, but Ersson is so good in net for us, especially when compared to Petersen. I feel like we're going to lose a couple extra games in back to back scenarios when Ersson doesn't get the start (just like Sunday at Pitt).

All of that said, to finish Tampa in the fashion we did tonight was extremely impressive, especially when you consider we're without Konecny and 2 defensemen. Also, I'm not sure why, but Couturier was skating on a line with Deslauriers and Lycksell. Is this an attempt to motivate him by essentially putting him on the 4th line? That must be the case. He only played about 12 minutes, which is 7 less than usual. Maybe the guy is tired, idk, but I don't think he will be on the 4th line for long. That's pretty wild.

Big game for youngsters like Foerster, Cates, Brink, Frost and Zamula. Even York was able to score an empty netter from 200 feet away, which is some nice icing on the cake. Brink scored the opening goal of the game in his return to the Flyers after a long stint with the Phantoms and it was a beauty too. I'm really happy for that kid and I'm partial to #10 also.

Given that the Caps got blown away tonight at Detroit and our next game is Friday night in their building, this was a pivotal win. It stops a losing streak too, which is something we can't afford to have. Also, the Canes, Devils and Pens all won, so we don't lose ground to anyone.

You need encouragement with this team? The final stanza tonight provides it. I love this squad!!

Damn straight, Maverick!!
I also think that putting Coots on the 4th line is a huge wake up call to the entire team. It worked, btw, at least for one game. I wouldn't keep the captain and arguably our best overall player (while minus Konecny) on the 4th line for long though. He's struggling a bit lately, but you need that dude in a top 6 role at the end of the day.

That said, a lot of our youngsters are getting good here lately. Tippett, Foerster, Frost, Cates, York, Poehling, Zamula and Brink all included.

Screw you Tampa bay and your stupid winning streak against us.Blow out city!!!

It would be great if we could have a handshake deal with Seeler and Walker that they get traded we get assets and they sign back with us this summer.

Crazy thing is he never looked bad at any time. Hopefully going forward when Koneckny returns we keep Brink on the ice and let Atkinson rest his tired old bones for a couple of months. If they send him back down and bring Atkinson back then that will be the first stupid thing they've done this year that I can't agree with.

I truly hope that Petersen took notes from Errsson last night on how to stop a puck.

Errsson was a big difference in us blowing them out and it being a dog fight until the end.

Dude is seriously streaky, was that way here in Colorado too. Out of the 18 goalies we selected this is the best we have for a number 2? Pitiful!

The Philadelphia Flyers’ prospect pool could be getting thinner on defense at the conclusion of the 2023-24 season.

According to a report from Corren out of Sweden, Flyers prospect and Lehigh Valley Phantoms defenseman Adam Ginning may turn tail back to Sweden after his entry-level contract expires this summer. Ginning made a strong case to make the Flyers out of training camp and preseason but was ultimately left off in favor of Emil Andrae, who was also eventually sent to the AHL after just four games in the NHL.

Ginning, 24, made his NHL debut with the Flyers on April 11, 2023, playing 16:40 in a 4-3 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The 6-foot-4 shutdown defenseman has been tipped to return to his boyhood club, Linkoping HC. Ginning last played for Linkoping in the 2019-20 season, when he scored two goals and an assist in 27 games. In 2020-21 and 2021-22, Ginning played for Farjestad BK and appeared in 101 regular season games during that time.

Torts had a few nitpicks with Brink's game. Sounded mostly like a maturity thing. Whatever it was he had his reasons and hopefully the kid gets to stay. He really is a ball of energy whenever he is on the ice. I have scratched my head before at some of Torts moves, but this year, benching, etc. see to be working.

At what point does Torts get nitpicky about how crappy Atkinson is playing? :noidea:

Don't see that happening with a team rolling the dice, either one would make a great long term asset.
