Reaves but I really doubt the Lakers want to trade him for Murray.

Kind of silly but they love Hillbilly Kobe.

Probably because they got him "cheap" for 2 more years.

Find somebody else to argue with. Or argue for days about another topic like you have been.

I am not your dancing monkey.

You are hilarious.

Not looking for an argument.

Just pointing out how foolish it is to think DLo’s recent play in the regular season is any type of reason for anyone to think the Lakers should keep him.

They might keep him and fail to make a big move.

If they do, they aren’t serious contenders.

Time will tell.

You are the king of "I did not say that."

But love putting words in my mouth when I did not say something.

Amd I didn't say they should keep him.

Carry on.

Never said you did.

I didn’t put any words in your mouth.

What I said is that it would be stupid for the lakers to go forward with the current roster just because Dlo is playing well today.

So why do you seem to be taking that so personally?

Saying that you think they might do that is essentially saying you think Lakers management might be incompetent.
I never said they were incompetent.

That is putting words in my mouth.

SMH.

No, I said that. That is my opinion.

You made a comment about the Lakers keeping DLo. I replied it was a mistake.

And you are trying to hide behind not having an opinion on either side of your comment.

Do you think they should keep him?

That would be an awful mistake.

We have seen enough from Dlo to know who he is.

Against bad teams like the Bulls, he plays great and makes you think the Lakers can win with him.

But he won’t be there against good teams in the playoffs.

And you know this.

If they keep him, it will mean they've moved off of Murray, decided to look for help in the buyout market and wait until the off-season when they will have 3 firsts to work a deal with.

Interesting decision for them.

Should have voted more.

Besides, who cares about starters (mostly because of the fan vote). Its if you make the team or not. Minny will likely get 2, Edwards and Gobert (though he might be borderline, I'd put him in but I won't be surprised if he's left off)
It really doesn't bother me much. Tongue in cheek comment.

I think Atlanta is balking a bit to see if they get a better offer.

I'm still shocked no one will pony up. In Detroits case they wanted Ivey and a first which is crazy considering what they are alleged to be considering from LA.

That isn't your opinion.

That is you putting words in my mouth by essentially saying I think they are incompetent.

Take it how you want I guess.

I wrote it. It is my opinion that it would be organizational malpractice to keep him “because he is playing well today”.

You seem to want to straddle the fence here.

I guess I just don’t get that tact.

There still is an open window with the LeBron and AD core.

Waiting until the offseason is potentially waiting for the window to close entirely.

Cant keep status quo.

Have to make a move this year. Whether it is a big trade or a coaching change I am not sure. But they need to do something.

If it's my decision, I'm moving D-Lo and getting Murray. They'll still have 2 firsts to work with in the off-season. Not as good as 3, but depending on how things go the rest of the way, I may be able to put a better player or 2 in the deal and get a better return.

I do understand the logic behind waiting until the off-season though.

The "problem" with Lebron still playing at such a high level is it puts them in a position of trying to address immediate needs and still have a viable team around AD after Lebron retires or leaves. He's still good enough that they can win another title with him, but he's also 39, so they need to be considering the "post Lebron years" as well as the current team.

If the decision is to wait until the off-season...it doesn't necessarily mean they aren't serious contenders, but it does mean that they'd have to hope that D-Lo doesn't fall apart in a playoff series like he did vs Denver. Or that they can get help from the buyout market and Gabe Vincent plays like he did for the Heat last year. Not sure those options provide the best odds.

The whole deal with the Pistons losing will be clear on draft day. “With the 1st pick the Detroit Pistons select Bronny James”.
Issue solved for the Lakers.

Dejounte is also a better long-term option without a doubt even if they give up picks they have a solid 1 and 2 when Lebron leaves. Reeves is a good, young piece too
