Technically the Detroit Pistons could win the NBA Championship this year. They haven't been eliminated yet.

What are the odds though?
If they do by winning enough games at this point they damn sure would have earned it. Apples and oranges.

Neither the Wizards or Spurs are tanking. They're genuinely that shit. You honestly think Pop is going to waste his last few years not giving a fuck?

And if teams- WERE tanking, they wouldn't exactly win or even want to win the Cup. Right? Or are you under the impression they're going to tank to get a better draft pick but try to win the IST Cup just for the hell of it?
Bro…you’re the one offering this idea that dangling the 7 seed is some great incentive. Where is it? I’m saying that at the end of the day not many people value being a 7 seed.

It is. For teams like the Raptors, Bulls or Jazz to name a few.

You can’t knock a team out that earned something over 81 games. Just go ahead and bring the circus to town if you do.

Three years ago before the Play In, the 9th and 10th seed didn't even get a look in. Don't pretend like it's such an outrage that a potential 10th seed team gets booted out.

Yes, but what are the odds of an absolute dogshit team winning the cup though? They'd have to go a worst 6-1 during that stretch against far better teams.

I don't exactly see this years Pistons, Wizards or Spurs winning their group and then three consecutive games. All three of those teams went 0-4 FYI

That being the case, there's no reason to throw it out there as a possible reward then.

Of course it's possible.

So is the Pistons winning the Championship this year technically.

Just not very probable.
Your Pistons thing is just flat out stupid. You are trying to equate a few games with something earned over a whole season. Can’t be done.

Lol didnt see your post before your last pick but yeah im all for an additional round 1 pick or something

It’s extra valuable to teams who have already mortgaged many firsts. Might give them enough to make another deal…
