Depends on the end result, we're still early in the season. He's an AD sub should injuries arise, or a potential matchup with bigger teams. The money was going to be the same everywhere, would he have been better off losing somewhere he could get more minutes? He still needs to work on his game, to play better defensively and be more accountable.

Yes.

Getting minutes on a losing team is a lot better than being out of the rotation on a good one.

I am not sure there is another team in the league he would be out of the rotation.

Just too many guys in LA and they need defenders for their role players.

I just hope he gets his priorities in order and take his conditioning more seriously.

Because at this moment he doesn't seem to have the true love for the game.

It'll be interesting to see which teams are interested in him.

Totally agree.

Just think there is a price where it makes sense.

And the Celtics probably have a strong enough locker room that they could get his best (whatever that is)

I wouldn't want him in Boston because he doesn't seem fully committed to the game right now.

It’s moot because the Celtics have almost no way of getting him unless they trade jaylen brown or holliday

Boston overvalues the former too much to do that, and would be too light at g moving the latter

Sounds like something stupid enough for the league to do
Imagine a shit team who finishes 34-48 win this and not only do they make the play in but you reward them with 2 home games?

Lmao this is so dumb

Why?

You watch soccer, right? The winners of the FA Cup get to compete in Europe too.

Gives an incentive for teams to actually take things seriously.

Players like Zach LaVine who make over $40m a year couldn't really give a damn about a $500k bonus. But if a playoff spot is on the line then he might actually care.

Yeah whatever you got to do to shove it down literally everyone’s throats whether they care or not.

What are the odds of a shit team like you mentioned firstly winning their group, then winning three consecutive games against probably far superior teams?

And even if it does, a team like that should probably be a lot of fun to watch.

This ain't soccer and I do watch soccer.

They are not the same. FA cup includes teams not in the EPL

This is the equivalent of having a cup only including EPL teams and saying the winner of that top ( if outside of the top 4) automatically get a champion league spot which would be insane. Imagine a team with 5 wins and finished 17th out of 20 being rewarded with a champions league spot.

Should they not care? All but the Final games counts as a regular season game too.
People can get excited if they want, I don’t like how it messes with the flow of the season. Stupid to start it only a couple weeks into the season as well. Whatever, they are going to keep trying to turn it into football, without success. A for effort I guess.

Indiana was damn close to winning and I have my doubts about them finishing as a top 8 seed still.

I think all of the following teams are likely going to be better than them at the end of the year

Bucks
Celtics
Sixers
Cavs
Heat
Knicks
Magic

They are a haliburton/Turner injury away from not being better than teams like Brooklyn and Atlanta

That's not it at all.

This is the equivalent of getting a spot in the playoffs for a Champions League spot. And then they still have to win one or two games to actually make it.

The NBA is trying to get viewership up during a time when it's generally quite low.

Unless you're a diehard fan of your team, people will tune in to watch the opening week and then the final race to the playoffs. Nobody really seems to give a shit about the games played in early December.
