I’ve watched too much ND football during the last 25 years to be unable to recognize “just a guy” at the QB position. He’s just a guy. I’ve said that since he was a HS player at St Joe Prep when I saw him play 5 times. He isn’t special. He rode the coattails of a national program to his rating. He was recruited to land Marvin Harrison Jr. He’s the epitome of just a guy.
Maryland and Wisconsin are not poor opponents (especially Wisky on road at night). Indiana on the road in McCord's first start (other than an Akron rent a win home game) and the game was over by the 4th qtr. where we entered with a 20-3 lead and it never got closer.

You can’t stack “we averaged 41 to 7 vs garbage and UGA was an average of 41-13 vs garbage and think it has any meaning whatsoever.

why would you offer an I-told-you-so if we lose when we could certainly lose to UM or someone in the CFP if we get there. None of that makes the offense average or covers up your lie that they haven't looked good against poor opponents. Teams that are a combined 5-5 in the BIG are poor opponents (2 of the losses against OSU)? I guess at least you walked it back some by going from poor to not very good.

It's a conference like most of the other conferences. Couple really good teams at the top....4-5 solid teams that can give most teams trouble, especially at home. Then some middling to dreg teams.
