Makes sense. They’re a front running team who looks to game managers as their QBs. Game managers can win you a ton of regular season football games. They aren’t bringing you back from behind. They aren’t winning Super Bowls.

with some of the defenses we have had that might be true, but maybe will be different with this D. We'll see.
Yes......obviously have been spoiled with elite QB play for a while and McCord certainly isn't that. But I wonder if a case could be made that maybe him and THIS defense (along with the weapons we still have on O) might be a better option than those QBs with those defenses where it seemed no lead was safe.
Same.....I saw the 9th inning of Philly/AZ game 7 and nothing else the entire playoff. Only caught that as I happened to see a score that it was the 9th and I do like seeing teams go nuts after winning a big series/game.
I don’t know that I can put any of their opponents up there. I’m just going by the quality of football I’ve seen them play, not their opponents.

Playoffs usually don’t bode well for mediocre offenses propped up by elite defenses. Too much time for staffs to prepare vs those defenses.
You can know you cannot put any up there. For UM take your pick among maybe Minnesota, Nebraska and Rutgers. For UGA maybe Kentucky?
Maybe...but I'd say fully healthy we are much better than a mediocre offense. Getting/staying healthy another story. I'd be inclined to have Henderson and Ebuka go live in a bubble until UM game.
Actually OSU hasn’t looked very good against poor opponents.
Your QB is the epitome of mediocre. Your run game is wholly inconsistent. That leads to the characterization of mediocre. That WR corp is exceptional when healthy. But you need a QB to get them the ball and he’s just a guy.
The run game does look better with Henderson. Agree 100% with that comment.
The poor opponents on their schedule are YSU, Indiana, W. Kentucky and Purdue and we outscored them 162-27, but sure.
while not what we have been used to I'd say McCord better than "just a guy". But even if you find him to be average, the elite talent around him makes the O better than average.
Man, I am not saying Ohio St has looked great and that has to do with injuries, OL and QB play. That being said....
Run game is inconsistent bc Henderson has been hurt. Their other RB's are GL slow backs.
Beck must be mediocre too.
