So both of our big deadline acquisitions have now been DFA’d.
Well done, FZ. Or is that Kap’s fault as well?

My general narrative is that while I strongly disliked Kap, he was not the SOURCE of our problems. He was a side effect. I am glad he is gone, but he was a scapegoat.Falling into Melvin means he fell forward anyway
I don’t think FZ is the problem.
But your roster needs the very top end guys
You find mid tier guys better than almost anyone
And it could be argued that FZ is good at that because he spends all his time looking on the ground. Other GMs/FOs could be as well if they spent the same effort doing so.My general narrative is that while I strongly disliked Kap, he was not the SOURCE of our problems. He was a side effect. FZ is really good at finding dropped quarters in the parking lot. But you can’t pay your rent with found quarters.
That’s why I think FZ can be the absolute greatest assistant GM in the history of the game. But as THE man, he just doesn’t have the proper vision. And it could be argued that FZ is good at that because he spends all his time looking on the ground. Umm...they weren't "big" moves. They were fringe moves at the margins.Mathias DFA’d

Of course they weren’t “big” moves. But they were our BIGGEST moves. Making a move like that trade was so worthless, it ended up having a negative net effect because 1) it was an insult to the players and fans and 2) any time spent working with Seattle putting it together was a waste of time.Umm...they weren't "big" moves.
