to bad football isnt played on paper.

Jimmy G has an awesome win pct. too. They weren't winning because the QB.

Lamar couldnt get it done with a complete team. Team he has now isnt as good as it once was & he wont be making any superbowl ever. That isnt even figuring in all the power house teams are in the AFC right now.

But they do win because of Lamar. As stated he has the 2nd highest win percentage among active QBs. There is more than enough of a decent sample size of games the Ravens have played since they drafted Lamar where he wasn't starting and that win percentage is nowhere near what it is with Lamar. To say a 26 year old former MVP QB will never make any Super Bowl ever just goes to show how clueless you are to say such a blanket statement.

He has never played in an offense that was loaded with skill players. Who knows if he ever will but I do know that if he ever does then that will without a doubt be one of the best teams in the league because that's what happens when you have one of the best QBs in the league and you give them bunch of great skill players to work with.

definitely has a long streak of no back to back division champs.
I could see that happening, considering this.
Maybe if they get Hopkins. Their passing game isn't currently strong enough to win the division.

Well done... I can't really argue too much with your regular season predictions... The only thing I think will be different is the Browns record... I think D. Watson will be playing like a top 10 QB again this year... I think the Browns will be 10-7...

Not bad, I think you have the Colts with more wins than they will actually get but I hope you are right with that pick. I was going to consider 6-8 wins a success with a rookie qb. I'll definately take 9 wins.

I think Minshew plays most if not all of this season. Only way I see Richardson starting any games is if the Colts start losing a lot and the season becomes a lost cause.

This is what I thought too, but all the news out of OTA's is that Richardson is being pushed as the starter, as of now they are spitting reps between the 1st team and Richardson is ahead of Minshew at the moment.

In that case they will compete for the top pick.

Which I wouldn't be oppose to so we could snatch up Marvin Harrison Jr, him and a year under Steichen and a year of experience for Richardson then I think we will be in business.

Btw, I'd think right now the Lions could get a wild card spot this season. Based on last season those guys look like they're headed in the right direction...
I'd even say more likely they win the division than get a WC.

Nice list...

Even though things change each year hard to argue with any of the top 3 until something different happens. Guess could maybe put the Bills up a notch due to talent or 49ers simply because someone has to take the NFC and no lock it's Philly.

Not sure of criteria for sleeper but assuming sleeper to get to SB (or perhaps win). Because of how weak the NFC appears Detroit, NYG and Seattle seem like decent choices. Maybe Saints but all depends on Carr. I think Jets and Browns might be the only ones I'd include in sleepers from AFC simply because of how tough the conference in.....and both depend entirely on the play of their QB. I cannot see Rodgers being any less than solid. Not as sure about Watson's floor.

Only ones in mid I'd move up or down would be moving the Jags up ( think a near lock they win the South which helps a ton) and GB down. They have been beyond bad when Rodgers doesn't play and hard to see it any other way without first seeing it be different........I guess maybe Steelers should move up as seems to be a law they compete every year under Tomlin no matter the circumstances. Bill stops Pats from being a nope.

I guess with guys healthy the Rams could move up, maybe even to sleeper or perhaps even legit.

The Bills should be in the top group. Honestly what are you splitting them out based on? Chokery?

Jags should be moved up a tier. Pederson/ Lawrence

Are the Rams really as decrepit as the Cardinals? Sad, if true.

Are the Bills really that different than the Niners and Ravens? We haven't seen Josh Allen in a Super Bowl yet. The Bills got demolished by the Bengals last year, and have lost twice to the Chiefs including once pretty convincingly and the other a choke. I do think Von Miller being healthy could bump them up.

Jags overachieving last year is a hunch. I do think Lawrence improving into a star QB is a possibility, though

I do think there is an argument for putting the Cardinals in their own tier

:pound:

Bills are more complete than either the Bengals or Chiefs. Injuries were a problem at the finish I agree.

Jags didn't overachieve, but they did shake off all their losing ways.

I don't think the Jags really overachieved. They won 9 games which is where I had them. They get Calvin Ridley this season meanwhile the Titans are going through a soft rebuild.

Arrow pointing up on the Jags and down on the Titans.

Consensus had the Jags as the 3rd place team last year and like 80% of SportsHoopla picked the Colts.

You might be right about Ridley. I don't really like the skill players or pass defense of the Jags. It's possible Lawrence and Pederson don't need stars in their offense, though

All that goes to show is how worthless your consensus opinion around here is. Go look at that Jags record prediction thread. I had the Jags winning the AFC South at 9 wins.
