PGA Tour agrees to merge with Saudi-backed rival LIV Golf
The PGA Tour is merging with Saudi-backed rival LIV Golf, following months of tensions and mounting lawsuits between the competitors.
So, the Saudis finally bought the PGA.
Would guess given its a new venture the LIV guys get the shaft
I am sure all those that hated LIV for the evils of Saudi money will now turn on the PGA. The people funding the LIV are now on the board of the PGA, if anything they just legitimized their sports washing.
Yeah, how does the PGA spin this as anything other than selling out????I am sure all those that hated LIV for the evils of Saudi money will now turn on the PGA. The people funding the LIV are now on the board of the PGA, if anything they just legitimized their sports washing.
I simply hated LIV for the product. I really hope golf as we know it (on the PGA tour) remains largely unchanged.I am sure all those that hated LIV for the evils of Saudi money will now turn on the PGA. The people funding the LIV are now on the board of the PGA, if anything they just legitimized their sports washing.
If the golf community thought it was in trouble coming out of 2008, I'd hate see what happens now if this turns a lot of people off to golf.
They always slow walk stories they don't like. How does espn not have anything on this yet lol
They have it up now, and made sure to still mention sportswashing and the evils of LIV at the end of the article. They always slow walk stories they don't like.
